"A Proper Wedding and Skeletons in the Closet" is an episode of Young Sheldon slated to first air April 11, 2024.
Georgie and Mandy go to City Hall to get married, with Connie and Dale as their guests. Both of their families arrive at the last minute, as Connie told Mary about the wedding, and George Sr. told Jim. Georgie and Mandy are hesitant, but they let them stay. Then, at dinner, Audrey offers to pay for their honeymoon, as she and Jim still have the money that they had saved for the wedding. They drive to Dollywood in Tennessee, leaving Connie in charge of CeeCee.
While Connie is at work with CeeCee (Dale refused to watch her), the police raid the gambling room and arrest her. She has to spend the entire weekend in jail, and so Dale watches CeeCee. Mary comes over and offers to take CeeCee back to the Cooper house, which Dale accepts. Audrey then comes to visit, and finds out what happened. Mary and Audrey end up in a stalemate with CeeCee, and George and Jim come over to defuse the situation.
Meanwhile, Sheldon learns about the gambling room. Missy tells him that there is a body buried in the backyard, and Sheldon believes her, especially after hearing some out-of-context statements by Mary & George. Sheldon then tries to dig up the body.

- Elopement: As decided in the previous episode, Georgie and Mandy go to city hall to get married without telling their parents. However, they find out and arrive just in time to witness the event.
- Internal Reveal: Sheldon and Mary finally learn of Connie's secret gambling room.
- Out-of-Context Eavesdropping: As Mary and George discuss Connie running a gambling room without their knowledge, Sheldon overhears them talking about "skeletons in the closet." Having been told by Missy that there's a corpse buried in their yard, Sheldon starts to think it's real and digs it up.
- Troll: Missy to Sheldon, as usual. She tells him that there's a dead body buried in the backyard under Mary's prayer corner. The last scene is Sheldon digging for it while Missy watches.
