    Full recap
Picking up where the last episode ended, Riven attacks Ophir, believing him to be trying to steal Musa from him and having attacked his friends. Ophir fights back to defend himself, until Sky and Timmy break up the fight and clear up the misunderstanding. Musa and Riven reconcile, while Aisha asks Ophir about where he learned some of the magic skills he used during the battle against the guards of the Red Tower as they all walk up to the tower in question.

The Winx try to figure out how to get in, and soon come up with the idea of using their fairy dust to remove the traces of darkness in their soul. It works, allowing them to shrink down to get through the door, except for Bloom, because of her incomplete Enchantix. Bloom stays behind with the boys, while the other Winx head through the door. They soon arrive at the Golden Kingdom, where they are taken to see Arcadia, who was the first fairy to ever exist.

Meanwhile, Valtor shows the Trix how they were defeated by the pixies, when he suddenly feels a wave of positive magic emanting from the door. He then sends the Trix to ambush Bloom.

While the Winx are searching for the Water Stars, Bloom talks to Sky about the time he was under the effect of the Love Potion, and he assures her that he didn't actually feel anything for Diaspro while under the effect of the potion. Meanwhile, Riven and Ophir seem to have become fast friends, with Ophir showing Riven some of his battle moves. Ophir then reveals that he had grown up on an island where there were no kids his age to play with, so he had spent a lot of time training. Bloom points out that he and Aisha both had lonely childhoods, and Ophir accidentally reveals to them that he has a crush on Aisha, but they promise not to tell her.

Meanwhile, the other Winx meet with Arcadia, who tells them that three of them will enter the Crystal Labyrinth, and if they can find their way out, they will receive the Water Stars. Stella, Tecna and Musa enter the labyrinth, and each of them begin looking for their own way out. Outside the Golden Kingdom, Bloom and the Specialists are playing a game to pass the time, when the Trix suddenly appear and ambush them, using a special magic Valtor gave them to temporarily make Bloom unable to use her powers.

In the labyrinth, Tecna is the first to reach the end of the labyrinth, and Arcadia presents her with two exits, where one door will take away Tecna's emotions. While Tecna initially wants to take the door that will let her keep her emotions, Arcadia informs her that the exit is in the other door, and if she wants to get the Water Stars, she has to give up her emotions forever. Tecna finds it a difficult choice, but ultimately chooses to give up her emotions for the sake of the universe and exits the room.

Stella is the second to reach the end of the labyrinth, where Arcadia presents her with two mirrors. One shows Stella as she is, while the other shows most of Stella's face missing. To get the Water Stars, Stella must give up her beauty, which she reluctantly agrees to.

Musa reaches the end of the labyrinth, and Arcadia tells her they are in a space where all that has ever existed and ever will exist can be found. Musa comes across two doors, one leading out of the labyrinth while the other leads to Musa's mother. Arcadia tells her she can choose to be with her mother, but that to get the Water Stars, she would have to enter the other door. Musa talks to her mother for a moment, before tearfully telling her she can't stay and that she must fullfill the mission. Just before Musa leaves through the exit, Musa's mother tells her that she is proud of her.

All three girls have passed the test, and receive the Water Stars from Arcadia. Arcadia then restores Tecna's emotions and gives Stella her face back. She doesn't have the power to bring Musa's mother back, but assures Musa that her mother will always be in her heart. She then tells the Winx that their friends need them, and they hurry back to help Bloom and the Specialists that are fighting the Trix.

Icy has Bloom cornered, but the other Winx arrive just in time and blast the Trix away with a convergance attack. As everyone begins heading back to Magix, the Winx tell Bloom about their trials in the Crystal Labyrinth.

Tropes:

  • Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: Nabu/Ophir's reaction when he realizes he accidentally mentioned having feelings for Aisha.
  • Doppleganger Spin: Darcy pulls one of these against Nabu/Ophir.
  • Emotionless Girl: Tecna is forced to give up her emotions to get the Water Stars.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Arcadia gives Tecna the choice of her feelings and technology, Stella whether or not to give up her beauty, and Musa whether or not to see her deceased mother. They all chose the latter.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: In order to proceed to obtain the Water Stars, Tecna is forced to give up her emotions, Stella her beauty, and Musa the chance to see her deceased mother.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: The Winx (except Bloom) discover their fairy dust can allow them to shrink themselves in this episode.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Riven and Nabu/Ophir get into a brief fight at the beginning of the episode.
  • Rule of Three: Tecna sacrifices her emotions, Stella her face, and Musa the chance to meet her late mother. After obtaining the Water Stars, Arcadia gives back the first two, but she doesn't have enough power to revive Musa's mother, probably for the best.
  • Symbolic Mutilation: Three of the Winx are required to prove if they'd sacrifice what's most valuable to them in exchange for obtaining the Water Stars. In Stella's case, she loses her beauty, with her face getting disfigured. This symbolizes how Stella thinks people only love her for her looks and not for who she really is. Combined with her fear of being alone, for her, giving up her beauty means that everyone will abandon her. Also, she does enjoy pampering herself and being a Dude Magnet. With this, she finishes her Character Arc of self-love.
