Ragnar and King Horik invite Jarl Borg to Kattegat to offer him an alliance again.
Tropes:
- Eye Scream: Lagertha finally has enough of being abused and stabs her husband in the eye after he humiliates and wants to expose her at a banquet.
- HA HA HA—No: Floki's reaction when Siggy asks him whether he can keep a secret after he overhears her and King Horik talking abut their affair.
- Off with His Head!: After Lagertha stabs Sigvard, one of the men present draws his sword and appears to be about to attack her, but he eventually beheads Sigvard since even he thinks that Sigvard was going too far.
- Revenge: Ragnar's peace offering to Jarl Borg was just a pretense to lure him to Kattegat so that Ragnar can take revenge on him for threatening his family and invading his lands. He commands to burn down the shed where Borg's men spend the night and lets him be beaten before he is brought before him and sentences him to be executed via blood eagle.
