Judy: You know what the easiest thing in the world is? Falling in love. People have been doing it forever. It's not that special. What's special is having the good sense to wait until it's right. If I had taken off with every guy I've ever fallen in love with—
Cory: You'd probably be a happier person.
Cory's boyfriend, Dean, has shot and murdered her father and eloped with her to get married. She gets arrested but he manages to escape from the police. Now Penhall and Judy get assigned to transport Cory back to her own state by bus and car. So they go on a road trip with her chained to them, while Dean is on the run and looking for her.
Also, Penhall fights with Dorothy, again, as she does not take it well that he has to leave for a few days without notice.
This episode provides examples of:
- Cloudcuckoolander: The titular Cory has a tendency to ramble on about love in a remarkable way of speech (she says to Penhall that he should let Dorothy sleep in his shirt so Dorothy "can inhale [Penhall's] essence"), and she doesn't understand the kind of trouble she is in.
- Henpecked Husband: As usual, Penhall's girlfriend yells at him and treats him as if he isn't a grown-up. She also interferes with his assignment by demanding that he call her every hour.Cory: Are you married?Penhall: No, I'm in hell.
- Road Trip Plot: Most of the episode is about Penhall, Judy and Cory travelling. They have to transport her to her own state, travel by bus and car, and stop at restaurants and a hotel at some points.
- Shower Scene: Judy is under the shower in a scene, to relax from travelling all day. Dean breaks in meanwhile, and when Judy opens the shower curtain, she finds Dean pointing a gun at her when she steps out.
