20F - 20th Floor Epilogue

    Season 2: Ch. 22 (Chapter 101)

Wangnan narrates how he managed to switch his and Mule Love's remote connectors in order for Team Wangnan to win the Trustworthy Room game. However, when he ran back to his original dorm room 101 hoping for a miracle that Nia was still alive, he got no answer. Thus, Wangnan's forced to accept that Nia really had died. Back in the present, Wangnan's group, as well as the new teammates, Ehwa and Prince, are seen celebrating their win within the Viole/Ehwa dorm at having passed the Trustworthy Room test. Ehwa still hasn't gotten used to suddenly being on a new team while Wangnan gloats about the stunt he pulled on Viole.

Later on, Wangnan is confronted by Viole, which the former tries to apologize for tricking the Slayer Candidate. However, Viole instead asks why Wangnan chose to forgive Kim, which Wangnan answers that it's because he realized that he truly was no different than Kim, and hopes to also be someone that can be forgiven for screwing people over during his climb up to the Tower's 20th Floor. Viole then questions why Wangnan desires to be the new Tower King, which Wangnan answers that he's just sick of the suffocating walls that separates people in the Tower, and wants there to be a solution where everyone is happy.

Meanwhile, Mule Love informs Director Augusgus of his actions, which Augusgus scolds him that Mule Love's desire for revenge against FUG ended up just giving the terrorist organization good publicity to show off their new Slayer-Candidate to the Tower, which Mule Love greatly apologizes for. However, Augusgus states that it all worked out in the end since Viole got his teammates while also advising Mule Love to look at this experience as a way to finally move on from his grudge with FUG. Augusgus then states that the Trustworthy Room test can just be established as the final exam for the Wangnan group, and lets Mule Love off with a suspension from work. After Mule Love leaves, Augusgus gets in contact with a person nicknamed the Submerged Fish to inform FUG that everything is going as planned, including the "Prince" passing the 20th Floor. Thus, revealing that Augusgus is actually in league with FUG.

Mule Love stops by the Viole/Ehwa dorm to inform Wangnan and company of the good news that they've now officially passed the 20th Floor due to the Trustworthy Room test being established as their final exam. This results in Wangnan's group celebrating once more. Afterwards, they're all resting after their party, which Viole looks at them knowing that they will, from this point on, be his new team when it comes to climbing the Tower.

At a cafe somewhere within the Tower, rumors have spread about FUG's newest Slayer-Candidate appearing on the 20th Floor as there hasn't been one in a long time since Karaka. Within the cafe, this catches the attention of the Great Family member, Khun, when he hears that the new Slayer-Candidate supposedly beat a Ranker in a one-on-one duel.

Wangnan and company celebrate their victory passing the Trustworthy Room test

With the Trustworthy Room test over, Wangnan's group are seen partying for making it through the 20th Floor test in Viole and Ehwa's dorm room. Wangnan thinks back to what he had to do in order for his team to pass the test, and elaborates how even though Viole finished his side of the test by placing what he believed to be Mule Love's connector in his dorm remote, the FUG Slayer didn't catch on that Wangnan had switched out the Ranker's connector for his dorm 101 connector back in the bathing room. Following the test, Wangnan returned to dorm 101 hoping for some miracle that Nia would still be alive. However, he was unable to know for sure since the door could no longer open for him now that the Trustworthy Room test was over.

Holding up cans of soda, Wangnan's team celebrates for passing the 20th Floor. Wanting to rest, Ehwa is left annoyed that they're using her room to celebrate, and asks that they go somewhere else. However, Goseng points out that they're now on the same team, and asks if she wants a drink. Looking at the can, Ehwa quickly rejects it due to what happened with the drink Prince had given her during the test.

Goseng then turns to Wangnan, and points out how amazing he was for managing to trick Viole into using his connector instead of the Ranker's. Miseng gives him the thumbs up as well, which causes Wangnan to blush in embarrassment. Wangnan gloats that the idea just came to him while Viole wasn't watching, but Akraptor remains silent looking in Wangnan's direction. Following the party, it is now nighttime as Wangnan goes outside to the dorm balcony to look up at the starry ceiling of the Floor above him.

Wangnan answers Viole's questions as to why he desires to be the new Tower King

Wangnan mentions how the test just now has made him tired as Viole steps out to greet him. Seeing Viole, Wangnan raises his hands to show that he doesn't wish to fight. He then apologizes to Viole for the swapping trick he pulled with the connectors, and begs for the FUG Slayer not to kill him. However, Viole instead asks why Wangnan chose to forgive Kim Lurker.

Caught off-guard by the question, Wangnan eventually answers that it's because he wants to be forgiven by others. Wangnan explains to Viole that his confrontation with Kim made Wangnan realize that his Tower climb had him ignore, trick, or even kill others to the point that he wasn't any different then what Kim was currently doing. Sitting down, Wangnan states that it's a mystery as to how many people he will have to kill to continue climbing the Tower, and it may turn out to be a bigger number than the amount Kim had already killed. However, Wangnan soon realizes that he's been getting off course, and gets on his knees to beg Viole to climb the Tower with the FUG Slayer now that they're a team. Looking down at Wangnan, Viole asks what it is that he wishes to change about the Tower, which Wangnan answers that it's nothing major. Wangnan explains that the current state of the Tower is suffocating, and that it causes walls to be built between people. He tells Viole that all he wants is a place where everybody can smile under the same roof. To look up, and see a much wider sky.

    Passing the 20th Floor

Mule Love scolded by Director Augusgus regarding his actions against Viole

The following day, Mule Love returns to his superior in the office of the 20th Floor Director to inform High Ranker Augusgus that his personal issues got in the way of giving the Regulars a proper test. Augusgus goes over what Mule Love told him and how it's inexcusable that his underling went through with an unreported test for the sake of his revenge against FUG, which sadly resulted in the death of a Regular. Mule Love apologizes for his actions, and states that he will take full responsibility by resigning as a Test Administrator.

Looking down at Mule Love, Augusgus points out how he should have won if he desired revenge against FUG. Mule Love tries to provide an excuse for not being able to win, but Augusgus ignores it, and informs Mule Love that the whole Tower now knows of what transpired here. That the criminals of the Tower are all excited to see FUG's new amazing Slayer-Candidate. Augusgus scolds Mule Love for providing FUG great publicity for their rising FUG Slayer, which causes the latter to fall to his knees, and apologize once more for screwing up. Throwing Mule Love a bone, Augusgus decides to go easy on him by stating that it turned out to be a good thing that the former didn't get his revenge by killing Viole, and that in the end, the FUG Slayer got his teammates.

Augusgus reassures Mule Love that it all worked out in the end

The answer confuses Mule Love, as Augusgus continues by stating that this is an opportunity for Mule Love to let go of his resentment against FUG, and start from scratch. Augusgus also tells Mule Love that they can just inform the 20th Floor Guardian that the Trustworthy Room test will be established the true last exam to allow Viole's group to go up. In return, they would only be given some minor disciplinary punishment for going off the rail a tad.

Mule Love begins to cry at the fact that his superior is going easy on him, which Augusgus mentions that if his underling is truly sorry, Mule Love will treat him to some fried chicken. However, Mule Love points out that he hates fried chicken, which causes Augusgus to yell back at him to make the chicken taste better by putting sauce on it. Having enough of this chat, Augusgus leaves off saying that Mule Love will be suspended for ten days, and should take this time to enjoy himself, which Mule Love thanks him for. Turning around to leave the Director's office, Mule Love turns back asking if they can instead have spicy rotisserie chicken, which causes Augusgus to order him to get out. Mule Love leaves the office as Augusgus gives off a sigh of relief. Pulling out his Pocket, Augusgus thinks over the situation, and figures that Mule Love was too naive for being provoked at the sight of FUG's fire-wave explosion symbol on Viole.

Augusgus contacts FUG to inform them that the Prince has passed the 20th Floor

However, Augusgus points out that thanks to what Mule Love pulled, his goal is still in reach. Taking out his Pocket, Augusgus closes the blinds of his office. The Director contacts a person named Submerged Fish to inform said person that things are going just as planned, and that the Prince has passed the 20th Floor test. Augusgus also mentions that everything is going just as FUG wants it to.

Mule Love heads over to Viole and Ehwa's dorm to inform Wangnan's group that it's been established that they will be allowed to go to the 21st Floor since the Trustworthy Room test has been accepted to officially be their final exam. This revelation shocks Wangnan asking if that's true, which Mule Love answers that it is, and that he apologizes for putting them through a test made by his desire to get revenge against FUG.

Wangnan screams out in excitement at the fact that he finally passed the 20th Floor. The other Regulars of Wangnan's team celebrate as well as Mule Love asks that he treat them to spicy chicken to celebrate their victory. However, Wangnan and Miseng claim that they want sweet-and-sour pork instead, which disappoints Mule Love.

Khun hears about Viole's appearance

Some time passes as Wangnan's group, plus Ehwa and Prince, are all seen having fallen asleep after eating their giant pork meal. Wangnan is seen giving off a smile in his sleep; glad that he finally passed the 20th Floor. Meanwhile, Viole is seen on the dorm balcony looking at the people that have been established as his new team, and then looks toward the sun in the fake sky.

The scene switches over to a cafe on another Floor of the Tower. Here, two Regulars are seen having a conversation that it's been confirmed that a new Slayer-Candidate of FUG has appeared on the 20th Floor.

One questions if it's the first FUG Slayer since Karaka, which the Regular on the other side of the table answers to be the truth, and that the rumors say that the FUG Slayer has proven to be incredibly powerful. Despite not believing the story, the Regular states that the information is legit since the FUG Slayer is rumored to have beaten a Ranker in a one-on-one duel.

A Regular with blue hair is seen caught off-guard by this revelation, and asks about the family that the FUG Slayer beat, which is answered to be the Mule family. Revealed to be Khun Aguero Agnes, Khun mentions how he doesn't know anyone from a family as lame as the Mules.
