30F - The Hell Train - Prologue

    Season 2: Ch. 111 (Chapter 190)

A month after the Workshop Battle, Bam's group and Team Sweet-and-Sour have managed to pass the 30th Floor test to finally begin climbing the Tower again. Now officially at the status of D-rank Regular. They're currently preparing to leave at the Wolhaiksong resort for the Hell Train. Shibisu then calls up Khun to know how things are going, and leaves off asking them not only to catch up to Team Shibisu, but also recommends the reunited three-man-team (Bam, Khun, and Rak) not to take the Hell Train. Thinking it over, Khun knows for a fact that they need to go for the Hell Train in order to chase after Cassano, who has the dangerous Emily weapon in his possession, and he also remembers that he has Rachel and the FUG traitors (Apple and Michael) to deal with. Rak being chased by Quaetro then passes by to inform his teammate to go to the conference room as Hwaryun is about ready to explain to everyone about the Hell Train trip.

Meanwhile, Ehwa is in the Wolhaiksong resort library reading up on the known information about the Hell Train being the extremely dangerous express that goes from the 35th Floor to the 43rd Hidden Floor. She also reads up on the Ticket Hunter known as Sachi Faker that could pose a major threat to anyone trying to board the train. Ehwa also thinks about the Jahad ring she saw in Wangnan's possession, and wonders if she will be ok climbing the Tower alongside him, but at this point, Hwaryun appears before her. Despite Hwaryun knowing that something is bothering Ehwa, the latter tries to deny it that she's just studying up on the Hell Train, and doesn't want to hear anything from something that's connected to FUG. However, Hwaryun baits her as someone who can tell her certain things about FUG, which catches Ehwa's attention. Informing Ehwa to stop by her Hell Train conference, and to bring Bam along, Hwaryun leaves off with a warning not to dig any deeper into Wangnan's past, or else she will be someone that knows the worst mistake that had been made by Jahad and the ten Great Families.

At the resort room that Horyang's seen resting in his coma, Wangnan blames himself for not being strong enough to make sure that something like what happened to Ilmar doesn't happen on his watch. He thinks about his mother, and then leaves Goseng alone with Horyang. Outside Horyang's room, Wangnan's greeted by Beta, who had also been watching over Horyang since Ilmar is like an older brother to him giving that they're both Living Ignition Weapons. Despite previously being enemies, Wangnan worries about Beta being out and about away from Workshop's medicine, but Beta becomes irritated that Wangnan doesn't think he will survive, and informs Wangnan that Wolhaiksong has provided him enough ingredients to make the medicine himself in order to chase after Cassano. Knowing that Beta is determined to go after Cassano, Nobic and Ran appear to recruit the Living Ignition Weapon into their team.

On her way to picking up Bam, Ehwa thinks about the connection to the Yeon Family hiding the Zigena babies on the 21st Floor, and the Tower trying to hide Wangnan's past. She connects the dots that continuing to climb the Tower alongside Wangnan and Viole will one day bring her to learning about the Yeon Family's blunder. Greeting Bam to inform him that Hwaryun's conference is about to start, who now has short hair, and the red Thorn hovering over his shoulder, Ehwa thinks over how she's already decided to climb to the end of the Tower with Viole.

    Season 2: Ch. 112 (Chapter 191)

After greeting Bam outside the resort, Ehwa asks him why he always tends to look up at the sky, to which Bam answers that he's been thinking about the endless sky. That it's because he was told by someone (Rachel) that outside the Tower is something known as the Endless Sky that has him wondering what it's actually like. Ehwa's unable to understand what Bam's talking about as the two of them head back into the resort for Hwaryun's conference.

Returning to outside Horyang's room, Wangnan watches as Beta gives Team Nobic the bad news that he can't join their team since he doesn't know their reason to chase after Cassano, and that since he's not a true Regular (having been living in Workshop his whole life), he can't climb the Tower. However, Ran informs him that they have a method that will allow him to climb the Tower which greatly surprises Beta. Ran gives him the choice to either join them since they do indeed have a reason to chase after Cassano, or that Beta can just sit here and wait for it all to end, which catches Beta's attention. At this point, Wangnan gets a call on his Pocket that it's about time for Hwaryun's conference to start, and leaves Beta, Ran, and Nobic behind.

At the Wolhaiksong resort conference room, Hwaryun begins to explain to everyone gathered how their Hell Train journey is going to work. She goes over how the Hell Train is an express that goes from the 35th to 43rd Floors, and has multiple stations along the journey that Regulars can board in-and-out of the train. Hwaryun also goes over the Express Tickets that will be needed to board the train. However, there are only 100 known tickets in existence that they can potentially steal from other D-rank Regulars that are also trying to board the Hell Train.

Continuing on, Hwaryun points out that the best time to steal the Tickets is when the D-rankers gather to try to board the first Hell Train station on the 35th Floor. However, given that it will take a year for them all to climb up to the 35th Floor, Hwaryun has decided to split into two groups. One group will be herself and Rak climbing the Tower with Viole while the rest follow under a team led by Khun. Hwaryun explains that the reason Viole's friends will follow under Khun is so they can get stronger during the one-year climb to the 35th Floor without having to rely on Viole to protect them. Despite some opposition, Wangnan agrees to go along with it since he wishes to get stronger to the point of being the person that, for once, will have people following behind him. As a result, no one else chooses to complain, and goes along with Hwaryun's plan, who states that their journey will have them reunite at the 35th Floor's Train City.

With Hwaryun's conference over, Bam and company make their exit out of the room. However, Hwaryun stops Khun by calling him out that he knows about the Nobic team he created behind Viole's back to chase after Rachel. She questions Khun what he thinks Viole will think of this if he finds out about what Khun is doing, but also warns him not to take Rachel's team lightly despite admitting that Team Nobic (Nobic, Ran, Dan, Sia and Beta) are not pushovers. Khun replies that he will deal with it given that he has more cards up his sleeve than Rachel every could, and exits the room, but not before telling Hwaryun that he still views her as an enemy as well. Upon exiting Hwaryun's confernece room, Khun bids Bam and Rak farewell after such a short reunion since he needs to join the Sweet and Sour group he will be helping climb the Tower. Rak remains suspicious as to why Khun is so obediently going along with this as he and Bam watch Khun leave.

Meanwhile, at their 30th Floor castle hideout, Team Rachel is seen getting Emily's chatting bot server up and running again to move their plan forward. Emily's water tank having been set up within the castle hideout, which Traveller is seen working on it. Along with Rachel, Cassano, Traveller, Apple, and Michael, three newcomers are seen on Rachel's team (a stick biter, another with long orange hair, and one wielding a large jousting stick). The stick biter, who's a veteran D-ranker that's been on the Hell Train before, warns the rookie group to prepare themselves for the journey to the Hell Train.

Back to the Wolhaiksong resort, Rankers Lero-Ro and Quant stand by and watch as Bam and company board transports to get summoned up to the 31st Floor to begin their journey to the Hell Train.

Long Summary

    Khun's Desire for Revenge

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_01.jpg
Khun informs Shibisu that Bam and company have passed the 30th Floor test

A month has passed after the completion of the E-rank Workshop Battle. Khun is still at the Wolhaiksong resort, and gets a call on his Pocket from Shibisu. He asks if Khun had missed him, but Khun orders Shibisu to stop calling him if he's got nothing special to say considering that he's already called him several other times the past week. Shibisu gives off a sigh knowing that this is how Khun does things, which Khun asks why he's so desperate to keep in touch having departed from the 30th Floor just a month ago.

Khun reminds Shibisu once more that it's only been a month since the Workshop Battle, but Shibisu begins to cry into his Pocket claiming that he already misses everyone considering how good the people he met were. Shibisu also complains that he didn't get to spend much time with Bam despite having finally reunited with him after so many years, and heard the rumors that he finally cut his Viole hair back to his original 2nd Floor hair-style.

Khun starts to wonder if Shibisu is perhaps homesick, but he hears other voices over the Pocket giving Shibisu orders. Endorsi is heard asking Shibisu to get him soda, which he complains that she should ask Vespa to do it since he's currently on the phone with someone. However, Endorsi threatens him to get moving, or else she will use the Bong Bong fairy to teleport him to hell. Moments later, Shibisu is in tears following Endorsi's order by making her a soda in another room. A confused Khun asks if he truly is the leader of their team, which Shibisu yells at him to be quiet since Endorsi is the notable exception that he can't easily order around.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_02.jpg
Khun thinks over everything that has happened so far

Changing the subject, Shibisu asks if Khun managed to pass the 30th Floor test, which Khun answers that they did given Bam's strength that he now has with the Thorn, but admits that it's also amazing how strong the other members of Sweet and Sour have turned out to be at the moment. Shibisu points out that the thought of the reunited Bam, Khun and Rak team combined with the members of Sweet and Sour is a scary one, and asks for Khun to keep their climb going as his team will be waiting for them to catch up. Returning to Endorsi, the rest of Team Shibisu is seen getting in some training. He leaves off saying to Khun that they'll be prepared for their arrival as Endorsi is heard asking about her drink.

Cutting off the Pocket call, Shibisu leaves a last-minute message congratulating Khun again for reuniting the original three. Looking up in the sky, Khun breathes a sigh of relief remembering that after everything he went through between the 2nd and 30th Floors, he managed ot pull it off. Shibisu also leaves another message that he doesn't recommend Khun taking the Hell Train to climb the Tower, but Khun just says to the Pocket that Shibisu should be minding his own business.

Walking through the hallway, Khun thinks about how things have gone so far. It's been a month since the Workshop Battle ended, Bam returned to them having escaped from FUG, and they managed to pass the 30th Floor test without any problems, and now have the right to go up to the 31st Floor and officially become D-rankers. Khun concludes that everything has gone well so far, but there's still some things that have been left unanswered.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_03.jpg
Khun hoping to one day get back at Rachel, Apple, and Michael

Khun thinks about Emily disappearing from the Archimedes having been taken away by Cassano, and wonders what the Devil of the Right Arm is planning to do with it. He also thinks back to seeing Gyetang dead, and Dan injured, back at the bunker, and wonders about the whereabouts of the people who set him up. These people being Apple and Michael of FUG, as well as the person known as Rachel. Becoming somewhat irritated, Khun establishes that he will make sure that those three don't get away with this. He states that he will be sure to get back at Rachel, even if Bam ends up getting in the way to try to stop him. His thoughts are soon interrupted when Rak comes storming by yelling for the blue turtle to move. Unable to move in time, Rak ends up crashing into Khun. Khun falls to the ground as an annoyed Rak asks what's going on that has the blue turtle caught out daydreaming. An annoyed Khun complains back that the crocodile was the one who bumped into him screaming like a lunatic.

    Preparing for the Hell Train

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_04.jpg
Ehwa studying up on the Hell Train

The reason for Rak running frantically appears as Quaetro is seen catching up to them asking for the dinosaur to play with him so that he can toast something. Rak becomes irritated that the crazy flame-guy managed to catch up to him as he begins to run away again down the hallway. Khun becomes even more enraged having to put up with Rak and Quaetro's antics, but Rak yells back that they need to be in the conference room within the next five minutes as the red turtle (Hwaryun) is going to explain the Hell Train trip to everyone. Thinking about the Hell Train trip he's about to embark on with Bam and Rak, Khun gives off a sigh in frustration that he should just put up with their antics for now considering that it's still a reunion of the original three-man team.

At another location, Ehwa is seen at the library reading up on information about the Hell Train. She reads over the basic stuff that the express is primarily for D-rank Regulars hat can board the train as an attempt to skip from the 35th Floor all the way up to the Hidden 43rd Floor. As a result of the possibility to skip several Tower Floors, the difficulty the express provides is why it's been nicknamed the Hell Train. What catches Ehwa attention is the thought that making it through the Hell Train is the only way to make it into the Hidden 43rd Floor.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_05.jpg
Ehwa reads up on the Hell Train's dreaded Ticket Hunter, Sachi Faker

Continuing her read, Ehwa reaches the stuff about the D-rank Regulars, which can take the Hell Train no matter how much strength each one has. There are three predators to be aware of if one is to go for the Hell Train. One of such predators is the dreaded Ticket Hunter known as Sachi Faker, who could be encountered at the Hell Train's first station. The information states that he's one of the top-three D-rank Regulars, who comes with incredible physical ability, as well as a special skill concerning his control of Shinsu. As a result, he's a powerful foe to face even in one vs. many duels.

Having read through the information, Ehwa gives off a sigh in frustration knowing that more and more monsters just keep popping up in the Tower. She wonders if it's perhaps a bad idea to continue climbing the Tower alongside Viole and company, and thinks back to the Jahad ring that she saw next to Wangnan when he was recovering after the Workshop Battle.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_06.jpg
Hwaryun offers Ehwa her assistance about certain things only she would know

Knowing the kind of person Wangnan is, she questions why he could go so far to hide his connection to Jahad from the rest of Sweet and Sour. However, her thought is interrupted when Hwaryun appears asking why the former is giving off a look as if Ehwa is agonizing over something.

Hwaryun asks what seems to be bothering Ehwa, and states that she will be sure to show her the correct path. Ehwa tries to politely make her go away by stating that she's just studying up on her next destination, which Hwaryun replies that that's even more reason for her to help given that they're both aiming for the Hell Train. Hwaryun reminds Ehwa that she's been assigned as the Sweet and Sour team's guide to lead them to the express, but Ehwa orders her to shut up, and states that the only reason she's accepted to work alongside a FUG criminal is because she has no other choice since the rest of her team requires her help. However, Hwaryun replies that Ehwa is the type of person that wants to know of certain things that can only be told by those that are a part of FUG. She asks if Ehwa wants to know why she's guiding the group to the Hell Train, which grabs Ehwa's attention.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_07.jpg
Hwaryun warns Ehwa to not dig too deep into Wangnan's past

Hwaryun begins to walk away, but leaves Ehwa a warning that she doesn't appear to be someone ready enough to read deeper into the story about Wangnan. Ehwa remains confused about what the guide is referring to, which Hwaryun explains that digging any deeper could have her come across the worst mistake that Jahad and the ten Great Families have ever made. She reminds Ehwa not to be late to the meeting, and asks for her to bring her stupid god along (referring to Bam) as he might be stuck in a daze somewhere.

At another room, Horyang continues to remain in a coma as Goseng remains at his bedside. Wangnan is in the room as well, seeing Goseng trying to rest as he looks at the unconscious Horyang. He concludes that Horyang's current state is all his fault, and wishes that he wasn't in such a rush to join in on the Workshop Battle if it meant that Horyang was going to end up with this sickness. Thinking back to the conversation he had with Hwaryun on the 21st Floor, Wangnan knows that it was his decision to rush things after hearing about Viole's situation within FUG. However, he regrets not being in a position to do anything that would have helped his teammates make it through this mess.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_08.jpg
Wangnan blaming his own weakness for what happened to Horyang

Wangnan thinks about Hwaryun telling him once that he can walk the path, but he clenches his fist in irritation knowing of how weak he currently is, which resulted in everyone being put in danger. He concludes that he wants to get stronger. Strong enough to be able to lead people down the path that he wants to go. His desire brings him to thinking about his mother as he decides to step outside Horyang's room. Outside, he spots Beta walking up to him, which catches the Living Ignition Weapon's attention.

Given that Beta was the one who injured him in the Workshop Battle, a fearful Wangnan asks what Beta is doing here, to which the Living Ignition Weapon answers that he's here to see the big guy. Wangnan remains confused by the statement, which Beta explains that since Horyang is also a Living Ignition Weapon, he's the closest thing he has to a brother. Beta states that he feels somewhat responsible for Horyang ending up in a coma, and has even been stopping by to check up on him while Bam and company were off completing the 30th Floor test. Wangnan tries to counter that Beta is also someone that needs to deal with his own problems, which annoys Beta a bit. Getting in close to Wangnan's face, Beta asks if Wangnan's implying that he's suffering in the same shoes as Horyang currently is.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_09.jpg
Beta informs Wangnan that he can now make Workshop's medicine by himself

Beta also asks if Wangnan finds it funny that Beta is caring about someone else despite not being able to go a single day without the Workshop medicine, which Wangnan desperately tries to state that he's not. Beta makes it clear to Wangnan that no matter what from here on out, he's going to survive this. Beta explains that it's thanks to Wolhaiksong that he's acquired plenty of ingredients to make the medicine himself, and that he won't need to rely on it anymore if he manages to find Cassano since the Devil of the Right Arm has apparently found a way for himself to live without needing Workshop's medicine.

With his explanation over, Beta orders for Wangnan to stop worrying about him, and just worry about making sure that the bastard, Cassano, gets back here. At this point, Ran and Nobic appear before them, both of whom are glad to see that Beta has Cassano on his mind. Beta remains confused by their appearance, which Ran asks for him to join their team since they will also be leaving soon to catch Cassano at the Hell Train.

Meanwhile, Ehwa walks down the hallway to meet Viole so that the two of them can head to the conference room for Hwaryun's speech about the Hell Train. She wonders what Hwaryun meant about Wangnan being the biggest mistake made by Jahad and the ten Great Families, and wonders if Wangnan is something like a baby Zigena that the Tower is trying to keep a secret in the shadows away from everyone to see.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_10.jpg
Ehwa informs Bam that Hwaryun's conference is about to begin

Seeing the connection, Ehwa confirms that continuing on a journey alongside Viole and Wangnan will allow her to face her Yeon Family's biggest blonder. At that point, she reaches Bam's location where he's doing the usual of looking up at the Tower Floor sky. Knowing that she has no choice but to ride the Hell Train, Ehwa calls out to Viole asking what he's doing acting like a dazed person looking at the sky. Ehwa informs him that it's time for Hwaryun's meeting, and states that they have to get going the next day. Bam agrees to do so as Ehwa thinks to herself that her going on the Hell Train was already obvious since she decided a while ago to follow Viole to the end.

Bam is surprised to find it's already time for Hwaryun's conference meeting, and tells Ehwa that the two of them should hurry. Looking at Bam's shortened hair, Ehwa still can't get use to the new hair-style given that he has such an innocent looking face that was hidden beneath his Viole-styled long hair. She asks why Viole always spends his time looking up at the ceiling of the Tower Floor, to which Bam simply answers that he was just looking up at the sky.

Ehwa remains confused by the answer, which Bam explains that he's heard the storys of how outside the Tower, there is something called above it called the Endless Sky. He also adds that within that Endless Sky are shining stars, and states that he's always wondered what they look like. Ehwa asks if that's some sort of fairy tale, which Bam agrees that it does sound like one. Ehwa tells Viole that she's always thought he was a weird one, but nowadays after becoming Bam again, he's become even weirder.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_11.jpg
Ran recruits Beta into Team Nobic

Bam apologizes, and states that the thought of the Endless Sky has just been stuck in his head these days. Ehwa asks why he always thinks about a sky he's never seen before, and asks who it was that told him about said sky, which Bam answers that there was a person who told him about it. Accepting the answer, Ehwa reminds him once more that Hwaryun is waiting for them at the conference room as she turns around to get moving. Bam takes one last look at the Tower ceiling sky, and agrees to follow.

Back to outside Horyang's room, Beta is surprised to hear that Nobic and Ran want him for their team, which Ran explains that it would provide a big boost for their team given that Beta knows Cassano better than anyone here. Beta replies that he still doesn't see how he and Team Nobic have the same goal, and gives them the bad news that even if he wanted to go, he's not a Regular that would be able to climb the Tower to reach the Hell Train. However, Ran answers that they have a very plausible reason to catch Cassano, and that there's a way to get Beta to the Hell Train.

The answer shocks Beta as to how there's a method possible for him to climb the Tower, but Ran orders him once more to join, and he will tell him the method afterwards. Ran asks Beta if he's going to either join them to chase after Cassano, or sit here and wait the whole thing out, which leaves Beta silent.

Hwaryun's Conference About the Hell Train

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_12.jpg
The guide, Hwaryun, explains the Hell Train journey to Bam and company

Watching the recruitment attempt unfold, Wangnan remains confused as to why Team Nobic is so interested in chasing after Cassano, but it's at this point that an alarm goes off on his Pocket. Wangnan tells Beta, Ran, and Nobic, that it's time for them to get to the conference room for Hwaryun's speech. He states that he will get going ahead of them, and asks that they tell him more about Cassano some other time. As Wangnan leaves, Ran asks Beta once more to choose if he's going to join their team or not to board the Hell Train.

At the conference room of the Wolhaiksong resort, Bam's original team, and Sweet and Sour, finish gathering before Hwaryun. Khun points out to Bam that he's late, which the latter apologizes for as Akraptor does the same for Wangnan, who states that he got caught up in a meeting with Beta. Now that everyone is here, Hwaryun asks if they're all ready to hear about their future Hell Train journey. Beginning the explanation, Hwaryun states to the group that in about a year from now, they will board the Hell Train. She says that the express departs from the first station at the 35th Floor. However, she informs them that the 35th Floor isn't the only stop that people can get on the Hell Train. There are other stations on higher Floors between the 35th and the Hidden 43rd Floor that allows for Regulars to get on-and-off the train as they please. She then brings up the Express Ticket that will be needed to ride the train.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_13.jpg
Bam and company will need to steal Express Tickets to board the Hell Train

Basically acting as a free pass, having an Express Ticket will allow the holder to get on-and-off the train at any of the stations. However, she gives them the catch that there's no normal way to get the ticket, which gets the attention of the group. Wangnan asks how they're supposed to get Hell Train tickets, which Hwaryun provides the simple answer that they need to steal it. She explains that there's always 100 Hell Train tickets, and informs them that the tickets are going to be amongst the Regulars who are waiting at the 35th Floor station to try to board it. Hwaryun points out that stealing the tickets from the Regulars waiting to get on the Hell Train is the chance to get a ticket for themselves, but also warns them that once they get manage to get a ticket or more, they will have to defend against others who are also trying to claim the Hell Train tickets.

Continuing the explanation, Hwaryun warns the group that it's a common occurrence that amongst the D-rank Regulars who board the Hell Train, only five or less manage to make it to the final Hidden 43rd Floor. She warns Bam and company that people who acquire a Hell Train ticket will become a target to someone else, which is why the tickets have been nicknamed as The Ticket to Hell. She also informs the group that they're all pretty much dead if they choose to board the Hell Train at their present level. Prince complains that Hwaryun is underestimating them, and while Hwaryun agrees that it's just a sober judgement of hers, she doesn't think the loud Prince is going to last for very long.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_14.jpg
Hwaryun announces that Khun will lead a new team separate from Bam's

An enraged Prince is forced to be held back by Akraptor as Hwaryun gets to the main point of what she's suggesting by stating that it would be better for everyone to climb the Tower up to the 35th Floor separately from Viole, which surprises everyone. Ehwa asks what she means by that, which Hwaryun answers that it's exactly what she said to take the next Floor tests without Viole at their side. Hwaryun claims that the group surrounding Bam isn't going to get themselves stronger if they rely on Viole to help them pass the Floor tests, and states that it would be best if she guided Viole and his crocodile friend up the Tower while the rest go up together as another group.

Given Khun's success as the leader of the Workshop Battle team, Hwaryun names him the leader of the second group, which catches his attention. She explains that this will be a good opportunity to test his ability as a commander, even though this means that he will have to separate once more from the friends he had finally been able to reunite with. She reminds the group that they will have about a year before they can reach the Hell Train at the 35th Floor. She states that should they accomplish enough training to get strong enough to obtain the tickets, they will become qualified to board the Hell Train.

Prince complains once more that she's talking as if she sees them all as a burdon. However, he's shocked to hear Wangnan state that he will go along with this plan. Prince asks if he's really going to go along with Hwaryun's plan, which Wangnan answers that, at the very least, he wants to get a ticket for himself by being strong enough to not be a burden anymore. Stating that he's no longer the failure that was stuck on the 20th Floor, Wangnan claims that he will go up the Tower himself if he's the only one that feels this way. Looking at Hwaryun, Wangnan announces that he wants to get stronger to the point that somebody will want to follow after him. Hwaryun replies with a smile, and agrees that his determination is a good starting point.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_15.jpg
Hwaryun informing Khun that she knows what he's using Team Nobic for

With her explanation over, Hwaryun states to Viole and company that they will all meet again a year from now at the train's first station platform known as Train City. She leaves off hoping that they will all be strong enough to get a ticket for themselves without needing to get help from someone else as they all make their exit out of the conference room.

Khun is the last to exit the conference room as Hwaryun calls out to him that he must be happy knowing that he now has more time to search for Rachel. Hearing Rachel's name grabs Khun's attention as Hwaryun points out that she knows about the Team Nobic he created that has been tasked to find Rachel behind Viole's back. Hwaryun claims that she knows Khun calmly accepted her suggestion to climb the Tower away from Bam and Rak, because it would have been burdensome to search for Rachel if Bam was always standing alongside him.

Trying to kill the girl who used to be everything to his best friend, she asks Khun what he thinks Viole will think of him if he finds out about this. Hwaryun warns Khun to think this through as Viole is no longer the weak Regular that he was teamed up with back on the 2nd Floor. She explains that the training he endured within FUG has made Viole strong enough to wipe out an entire team of E-rank Regulars all by himself, and is now the strongest crack that has appeared on this Floor. However, Hwaryun chooses to go along with it, and states that Khun should be careful. Hwaryun acknowledges Khun's ability to lead, and admits that the people he gathered in Team Nobic (Nobic, Ran, Dan, Sia and Beta) are strong enough to handle themselves, but warns him that Rachel has also obtained a dangerous card up her sleeve.

Journey to the Hell Train Begins

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc40_16.jpg
Khun bids his original teammates farewell

Hwaryun warns Khun that he could possibly lose to her, but the latter answers Hwaryun that it doesn't matter as he has more cards than she thinks. Haw Ryun replies that she's looking forward to seeing them, which Khun counters that she better witness them. Khun also tells her that he still views her as the enemy, which leaves her silent.

Khun finally exits the conference room as Bam and Rak are seen waiting for him. Bam asks why he stayed back to chat with Hwaryun, but Khun quickly changes the subject, and apologizes that they will have to be apart from one another for a bit longer, which leaves Bam silent. Looking at Bam and Rak, Khun goes over how their team being apart again will be for about a year, and states that they're just going to have to live with it.

Rak remains suspicious about this as Khun sticks out his hand to Bam bidding him farewell, which Bam gladly shakes. Khun begins to walk away as Rak remains confused as to why Khun is being so obedient regarding what Hwaryun forced upon him. Bam simply watches him leave without saying anything back.

Rachel's team about ready to begin the journey to the Hell Train

Within the 30th Floor castle that Rachel's group has hidden themselves in. Apple is seen working on her lighthouse with Michael standing at her side. Three hooded figures (one biting on a stick, another with long orange hair, and the last wielding a large jousting stick) are seen watching them work. The hooded figure with orange hair asks how Apple's lighthouse work is going, which Apple answers that it shouldn't take too long to get Emily's chatting bot server back up and running. However, she reveals to the group that the problem will be what comes after getting Emily up and running again as it would be better for them once they get on the Hell Train.

The hooded person biting the stick claims that they're all idiots for not realizing how obvious this is that it's not going to work unless they do it in that specific place. He claims that in the end, they're all destined to board the Hell Train, which annoys the orange haired hooded person asking who the stick biter thinks he is given that he was the last to join their group. The orange haired person claims that she doesn't like him being a know-it-all just because he's been to the Hell Train once before as Apple silently listens to the complaint.

Apple replies to her orange haired teammate that they can't do anything about it since the stick biter is a D-rank Regular higher than them that was off doing other things. She then informs the orange haired Regular that he couldn't help himself being late, and asks for orange-hair to stop murmuring behind her back so gloomily as it's freaking her out.

Traveller getting Emily back up and running while Rachel and Cassano watch

The hooded orange-hair licks her face, and gives off a laugh stating that she will. The team figures that it's pretty much decided that their next rendezvous point will be at the 35th Floor's Train City a year from now. One states that they should get going once the Emily server is up and running again, as another states that they will inform Rachel that they're ready to get going. In another room, Traveller is seen working on the dissolved Emily container as Rachel and Cassano watch him work.

The stick biter Regular leaves off to the rest of the group with a warning to be careful as the journey to the Hell Train will be a lot more dangerous than they think. However, he also points out that he doesn't view anyone here too idiotic enough to have a hard time getting a Hell Train ticket for themselves. The stick biter then asks if it's about time for them to climb the Tower again to reach the next story that's going to shake up the Tower by taking part in the game that will bring bloodshed towards the sky. He states to the rest of the rookies in Rachel's team that they will meet again at the 35th Floor's Train City.
