35F - Hell Train: Revolution Road - Epilogue

    Season 2: Ch. 152 (Chapter 231)

After the Hell Train's departure, Bam's companions all move to regroup within Train City. At Floor 4's Stadium, the Rak, Hanool, Blarode, and Quaetro group continues to watch the final fake tournament match between Team Royal and Team Bero. Eventually, Khun arrives with Akraptor and Prince to inform Rak and company of the bad news that along with missing the Hell Train, Bam's gone unconscious.

Shortly after, Khun, Rak, and their other companions are seen at Bam's bedside. Khun apologizes that he wasn't strong enough to stop Team Rachel, which angers Rak due to the state that Bam ended up in. As Bam remains asleep, Beta assures the group that the Slayer Candidate will be fine as he just overused the Thorn, and that as long as Bam continued to get used to the Thorn, or finds other Thorn fragments to stabilize it, he'll be fine. Bam's companions then discuss their plan to catch up to the express by attempting to reach the train stations at higher Tower Floors. Given that it will be impossible to make it in time on foot, Khun figures that their only option is to somehow stop the Hell Train from moving.

Nearby, Boro discusses the recent events with his old teammate, Aka. Hanool listens nearby having been nursing Hana this whole time, which Boro reveals to Aka that Daniel plans to revive Roen, their teammate that died on the Hell Train hundreds of years ago. The three of them catch on that Bam is Jue Viole Grace, which Aka figures that Jue Viole Grace betraying FUG must mean that the latter's goal is to replace their lost Slayer Candidate with the one that was sealed away on the Hell Train. Boro doesn't seem as convinced, but agrees that Daniel and FUG being on the Hell Train means that the sealed Slayer Candidate is definitely going to be released.

Meanwhile on the Hell Train, Team Rachel continues to make their way through the express. They face off against guardians that try to block their way. Daniel leading the way as he remains determined to resurrect Roen.

During his sleep, Bam sees a red ball of light in the darkness calling out to him known as the "Power" that it claims will give Bam the strength to go even higher. In return, Bam reaches out for it.

Next to Bam, his companions discuss what to do next. Aka and Boro arrive, which they warn everyone that once Bam wakes up, they need to leave as soon as possible before Train City erupts into chaos once people realize that the Stadium tournament was fake, and that the Hell Train has already departed. Boro and Aka then suggests that they should aim to reach the Hell Train at the 37th Floor station. He also warns the group that what Team Rachel is most likely aiming for is to wake up Hoaqin; FUG's dangerous Slayer Candidate that had been sealed away within the Hell Train.

Later on, Khun makes a call on his Pocket to one of his contacts to try to find some way to stall the Hell Train so that Team Bam will be able to make it to the express in time. The contact agrees to help stall the Hell Train for them, but warns Khun that he'll have to pay for it later. Soon after, Bam wakes up feeling the new strength within him after his encounter with the Power. In addition, Team Bero's shown to have won the fake Train City tournament.

At that same time on the Hell Train, Wangnan and Ehwa are eventually let out of the White Heavenly Mirror since the Hell Train's traveled far away from Khun to release the seal. Taking the White Heavenly Mirror for himself, Wangnan and Ehwa start moving through the express to catch up to Team Rachel.

Long Summary

Catching up to the Hell Train

Khun and company return to Rak, who's being bullied by Blarode and Quaetro

The final match of the fake Train City tournament between Team Bero and Team Royal continues. Cherry La lies asleep on her floating pillow as a close-combat fight between Bero and Juglom Gote is seen going down in front of her. Juglom orders Bero to give up since she's a fat pig that will break the Hell Train if she gets on it, which enrages Bero to the point of replying back that he looks like someone who could die in a second.

Watching this fight from the sideline is a disappointed Rak, who finds the match to be incredibly lame. Next to him is Quaetro enjoying the hell out of Rak's reactions to the fight, and asks if Rak is providing them with commentary. Blarode figures that Rak must be learning how to speak human lingo since he used such an out-of-character word like lame as Hanool remains confused watching the two of them continue to pick on Rak.

Suddenly, Khun appears to rejoin Rak and company asking if they're enjoying picking on their pet, which grabs their attention. Khun, along with Akraptor and Beta, walk up to Rak and company, which excites the alligator seeing that they've made it back from their Team Rachel pursuit mission.

Khun gives off a half-hearted reply that he's back, which causes Rak to ask what happened at the Hell Train, and why they're missing some people like the yellow Sweet and Sour turtle. Khun answers that they ended up missing the Hell Train, which shocks Rak. The alligator then asks about the black turtle, which Khun also answers that Bam is currently unconscious.

Beta explains to the group that Bam's use of the Thorn caused him to overload

Khun, Akraptor, and Beta bring Rak to the Residence room where Bam is seen asleep on a bed. Rak orders Khun to explain what happened since Bam ended up unconscious, and Hwaryun was taken away. The alligator continues to order Khun to explain what's going on since he's mad that everything turned into a mess while he was left behind at the tournament, which Khun apologizes for. Khun figures that this result happened because he wasn't strong enough to stop Team Rachel from getting away, but Rak grabs Khun's collar in anger.

The alligator says that saying sorry is not enough in this case since Khun's failure resulted in them being in an even worse situation than before. Beta asks for Rak to not be too harsh on Khun since they came out of this screw up with the Complete One (Bam) still safe. Rak and company turn their attention to Beta, which the Living Ignition Weapon assures them that Bam will be fine since he's just experiencing the overload after-effects of using the Thorn beyond his limit.

He also assures them that this isn't something that Bam will die from, which causes Rak to ask what Beta means by Bam having overloaded. Beta answers that while the Thorn is indeed a great weapon, it doesn't mean that one will have perfect control over it right away to the point that overloading was going to be the obvious result of using it. He also points out the fact that the Thorn still appears outside of Bam's body when he has it active is proof that Bam hasn't been fully accepted by the Thorn just yet.

Akraptor explains how the Hell Train will move throughout the higher Floors

Looking down at the unconscious Bam, Beta deduces that he will be fine after resting from today's Thorn overload, but warns Khun and Rak that should he continue to go wild like today, his body could get torn to pieces. The mention of Bam being torn to pieces shocks Rak, which Beta jokes that his statement was just a metaphor. Beta then explains that Bam's Thorn is currently unstable, and the only way to stabilize it is to either collect the other fragment pieces, or hope that Bam gains the ability to control the Thorn. However, he reminds the group that the only way to get the Thorn fragments is using the Hell Train, which has already left the 35th Floor.

Akraptor asks Khun and company what they're supposed to do now since they were only able to get Wangnan and Ehwa on the Hell Train using the White Heavenly Mirror. He explains that between the 35th and 43rd Floors, the Hell Train will be stopping at stations in the Inner and Middle areas as it climbs up the Tower, and that the Hell Train itself is considered a Floor Test area. As a result, Regulars already aboard the Hell Train, such as Team Rachel, do not have to follow the usual rules of the Tower by having to take Floor Tests to reach the next Tower levels. Finishing the explanation, Akraptor states that their only hope of catching up is to board the Hell Train at a higher Floor station, but finds that the journey will be difficult since they will be chasing after a train that has already departed.

Boro and Aka discuss the problem with Daniel's attempt to revive Roen

He asks if Khun has something in mind, which Khun admits that it will be difficult for the rookie D-rankers, such as themselves, since they still need to clear the 35th Floor Test before having any chance to begin the chase. Khun figures that there's only one possible method that could probably get them on the Hell Train, which is to try to stop the express from moving up the Tower any further. Khun's answer shocks Akraptor, which Khun says once more that they need to come up with a plan to stop the Hell Train from continuing its journey up the Tower Floors. Only then will they have enough time to catch the Hell Train before it starts moving again.

Meanwhile, in another room, Hanool is seen taking care of the injured Hanool, who's resting on a bed. Near them are Boro and Aka, which the latter tells the former that he's currently in shock knowing that Daniel has been alive all this time. Aka is left confused as to what Daniel is up to going so far as to join up with FUG, which Boro reminds him of what Daniel said at the Helix Stairwell. That he plans to bring Roen back to life by waking the guy on the Hell Train up.

Aka admits that the very thought of possibly finding a way to bring Roen back to life sounds great, but having to wake that guy up to accomplish it sounds like a terrible idea. Boro agrees with it, and wonders if Daniel is being deceived by FUG so that the organization can further their own goals. He then mentions that he heard how Daniel called Bam as FUG's newest Slayer Candidate, Jue Viole Grace, which catches Hanool's attention.

Team Rachel comes across one of the guardian groups in the Hell Train

Hanool asks if this means that Bam is really the Slayer Candidate that disappeared after the E-rank Workshop Battle, which Boro answers is most likely the case since Bam told them straight out that he once had a connection to FUG. However, given that Bam is currently fighting against FUG, Boro assumes that the boy encountered problems with the organization, which forced Bam to betray them. Listening to the story, Aka asks if the reason FUG is after the Hell Train is because they're looking for a Slayer Candidate that could replace Jue Viole Grace. Boro answers that he's not sure since the potential Viole has as a future FUG Slayer could never be replaced. However, Boro adds that there's one thing he knows for sure. That it's only a matter of time before the guy wakes up now that Rachel's team, who are backed by FUG, have made it inside the Hell Train.

Within the Hell Train, Team Rachel is seen coming across several beings within the express as they approach an entryway. Daniel greets the beings, which are known as Guardians that protect the gates within the Hell Train, and points out how merciless they are choosing to attack them when he's clearly still injured. Daniel's legs are seen still trembling in pain due to the hit he took from Bam back at Train City's Hell Train Platform. Daniel next creates a Living Creature ball ready to attack the guardians, and claims that he can't be stopped here since what he's aiming for has finally started. He asks for Roen to wait for him just a little bit longer.

Back to Bam's room in Train City, he continues to remain unconscious. During his sleep, Bam sees nothing but darkness, and states that his head hurts. He wonders where he is, and admits that this place feels slightly familiar. Bam also hears a voice calling him a boy, and remembers that someone is trying to call out to him.

Bam meets the Power that has been calling out to him during his sleep

Within the darkness, Bam spots a small red ball, and hears the voice coming from it. Looking at the red sphere, the voice from within it asks if Bam is finally awake, and points out that he's been watching the boy sleep for quite awhile now. Bam wonders what the red ball is that he's currently looking at, and asks the voice what it is. The voice from the red ball answers that it doesn't know for sure what it is either other than the fact that it's known as the Power.

Bam asks what the voice means by that, which the red ball explains that as the Power, it's also a demon that had apparently been created by the people of the Tower. The red ball adds that the people who studied it seems to have been the ones that gave it the name of the Power. The voice states that Bam probably already knows about it, because of his desire to want to climb the Tower, and figures that this is the reason that Bam has been able to use a bit of the red ball's power recently.

Bam continues to watch in confused shock as the red ball asks for him to reach out and take this power. Bam decides to reach for it as the voice explains that this will be enough to allow for Bam to climb higher and higher up the Tower. The red ball begins to explode with beams of shinsoo shooting off it as the voice assures Bam that he's become quite useful now.

Meanwhile outside Bam's room, Khun gathers the Regulars that tried to catch Team Rachel from reaching the Hell Train. Khun finishes explaining their failure to stop them, which shocks Sia hearing that the Hell Train has already departed up to the next Floor.

Sia begins to ask questions, like what they're supposed to do now, and what Khun plans to do about this, but Khun remains silent. A moment later, Aka and Boro arrive to greet the rookies, and discuss their current situation.

Boro warns the group that Team Rachel plans to wake Slayer Candidate, Hoaqin

Aka points out that it will soon be discovered that the Stadium tournament was fake, that Yura's concert was never going to happen, and that the Hell Train has already left Train City. Boro adds that Train City is about to become chaos once the other D-rank Regulars begin to realize the situation, and will attempt to depart from here to chase after the Hell Train. He suggests that they should get going before the other D-rankers start moving.

Agreeing with Boro, Aka advises Khun, and his company of rookies, to head straight for the Floor Test area in order to graduate to the next Tower Floors. He also states that he will tell the rest of his team what's going on, and that they should all meet at the Hell Train's 37th Floor station. Khun asks if Aka and Boro are choosing to help them because their old comrade, Daniel, turned out to be a member of Team Rachel, but Boro answers that there's another reason.

Boro warns them that the reason they've decided to help is because Daniel is planning to wake up a FUG Slayer Candidate that had been sealed away on the Hell Train a long time ago. The revelation of a Slayer Candidate shocks Khun, which Boro explains that it's understandable no one would know about him since he was probably erased from the Tower's history. Remembering back to that day, Boro states that the man claiming to be the next FUG Slayer was the worst Express Ticket holder he ever came across, the FUG Slayer Candidate known as Hoaqin.

Talking in a serious manner, Boro warns Khun and company that if Hoaqin manages to wake up, it could not only threaten the people on the Hell Train, but also endanger the lower rank Regulars of the Tower. Boro points out that since the Train Administrator, Poro, is no longer at Train City, it will become difficult to leave this place.

Khun asks his contact to stall the Hell Train until his side can catch up to it

Boro assures Khun that he will tell him and his group of rookies how to get out of here. He also orders for them to leave as soon as possible once Bam finally wakes up.

Some time later, Khun is alone in his Residence room talking to an unknown person over his Pocket. The speaker states that it's been a long time since he's heard from Khun, and asks how his journey to the Hell Train is going. Khun answers that FUG pulled off something reckless by stealing away the Hell Train using Team Rachel, which surprises the speaker, but tries to pass it off as a joke to cheer Khun up. He then asks Khun if this means that his group didn't make it to the Hell Train, which Khun answers to be the case, and that they're forced to walk on foot up the Tower to catch up to them. He also tells the speaker that their current enemies are quite strong, which the speaker admits that he's starting to understand why Khun called him.

Khun explains to the speaker that pretty soon, the tournament is going to end, and all the D-rankers currently at Train City are going to find out that it's fake, and that the Hell Train has already departed. Concerning the tournament, an exhausted Team Boro is seen being announced to have won the final match, and have gained all the Express Tickets. Khun continues by stating that before Train City descends into chaos, his company is all going to make a break for the 35th Floor test area in order to go up to the next Tower Floor. However, Khun points out the problem that even if they go at an incredibly fast pace, they will never be able to catch up to the Hell Train. The speaker on Khun's pocket asks how he fits into this, to which Khun answers that he wants the speaker to be the one to stall the Hell Train.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc42_09.jpg
Bam wakes up feeling the new strength that the Power has provided him

Khun explains that he currently has a couple teammates within the express, and if the speaker manages to stop the Hell Train, they will be able to handle the rest. The speaker thinks it over a bit, and admits that he understands what Khun is asking for. He assures Khun that he will help them out by stopping the Hell Train. However, the speaker reminds Khun that there's going to have to be some sort of payment for helping with this task.

The speaker then asks for Khun to one day make it to his level in the Tower since it will be their first time seeing each other again in a long time. He then leaves off saying to Khun that they will meet again on the Train. Meanwhile, Bam is finally seen waking up in his bed. He clenches his fist feeling the strength that the Power had provided him during his sleep.

Meanwhile in the Hell Train, Wangnan and Ehwa are seen getting out of the White Heavenly Mirror after Team Rachel has moved on to the next train room. Wangnan picks up the White Heavenly Mirror, and calls Khun a bastard for relying on such a gamble to get him and Ehwa into the Hell Train. The two of them look down the white path of the Revolution Road that leads up to the next Hell Train room as Wangnan tells Ehwa that they should get moving.
