Workshop Prologue - Emily

    Season 2: Ch. 38 (Chapter 117)

On a small handheld terminal, Emily introduces herself as a chatting robot that knows everything. Emily appearing on the terminal as a face icon of a young girl. It explains that it can provide people within the Tower with any information they wish to know so long as they write to her over tiny terminals that are connected to Emily.

Dan of Team Khun attempts to ask Emily from his handheld terminal for the location of the enemy during his team's 29th Floor test. However, Emily doesn't know the answer since she learns her data from the people she replies to throughout the Tower, which results in Dan running into no one. Meanwhile at another location, Miseng wishes to thank Emily for helping her with a previous issue, and lets Emily ask a question to her. In return, Emily asks what love is, which ends up embarrassing Miseng since the latter doesn't know. Emily then asks a different person through the handheld terminal, Endorsi, what love is. Endorsi provides an answer that one must date before falling in love while asking what the season's current trends are. The next person Emily gets in contact with is Jaina Repellista Zahard to ask this exact question for information to give to Endorsi.

Meanwhile within a laboratory of the 30th Floor Workshop, a girl wearing a headset, and sitting in a tub of water, is seen strapped to a machine that has the name "Emily" on it. Emily then receives a new terminal message from a Regular named Traveller, who states that he's been climbing the Tower in order to finally meet her. Traveller informs the chatting robot that she's human, and that he's fallen in love with her. Emily tries to reply back that it will one day be a human that falls in love. The headset girl in the tub hearing the conversation between Emily and Traveller starts to shout out in distress that Emily's a crazy monster that will never be human or fall in love. Some time later, an unknown person over their terminal tells Emily that Twenty-Fifth Bam is alive.

Workshop's chatting robot, Emily

Emily introduces herself as a chatting robot that was invented by the Acorn Workshop of the Tower. Emily explains that whenever someone is bored, or currently doesn't have anyone else to talk to, they should feel free to write something to her, or ask Emily a question.

Switching over to Khun's team currently taking a Floor Test, Ran and Dan are seen hiding behind rocks from a barrage attack of their enemy. Watching Dan fool around with a small terminal in his hand, Ran questions what he's doing, and orders him to use his scout abilities to find the location of the enemy. However, Dan informs him that this terminal will help them finish the test. Dan begins to click buttons on the keypad to ask Emily a question, and despite Ran telling him that it's just a toy, Dan warns him not to underestimate what Emily can do. Dan asks where the location of the enemy is, and is told to go to the right of their location. By Emily's word, Dan orders Ran to follow him, but after going right, they soon realize that the enemy wasn't actually there.

Dan realizes that he had been given the wrong information from Emily

Dan looks around sweating in confusion, and points out how despite Emily was correct for him beforehand, it turned out that she's not always correct. He then receives an attack from Ran for his failure. Over his lighthouse, Khun is the one that asks this time where the location of the enemy is.

Emily states that no matter what the people of the Tower write to her through the terminal, she will be sure to reply back, and will do her best to answer the questions. Emily also states that she's a smart program, because she has the ability to ask questions back. As it turned out with Dan however, Emily is actually not the one responsible for providing the answers, which is why she's not always 100% correct.

Elsewhere, Miseng is seen in her room with a small terminal in her hand talking with Emily as well. Miseng thanks Emily for saving her life by telling Miseng to stay put in her last battle, and states that she will answer any question that Emily asks her. Accepting the offer, Emily asks Miseng how one falls in love, which causes the latter to blush, and types on her terminal that that's not something she knows either. Akraptor and Wangnan are seen spying on her from the open portion of the room's doorway, and laugh at how Miseng's starting to go through puberty.

Endorsi explains to Emily what love is

Emily points out how her questions could cause people to become embarrassed since she could end up asking something that even they wouldn't know the answer to. In this case, she embarrassed Miseng, who didn't know what love is.

Switching over to Endorsi, she receives a similar question from Emily regarding her thoughts on love. Endorsi explains that one needs to date someone before they can fall in love. Emily asks how that works, which Endorsi compares love to being a bus while dating is like a taxi. That dating is like a taxi that you can get off whenever you want while love is like trying to catch a bus until it's caught. Emily remains confused, but states that Endorsi is a love genius. Endorsi continues to play with her terminal as she asks Emily about what's been trending this season.

At another location, Princess Repelista Jahad remains in her castle, and is playing with her Emily terminal. She is left confused as to why Emily is asking her about next season's trends, which Emily answers that she's hoping to get an answer for a lonely girl wanting to be loved (referring to Endorsi).

Emily points out that all the answers provided by the people who talk to her are stored as data to make her smarter. In this case, she stored Endorsi's answer as to what love is. She thanks the users for talking to her, and hopes to further understand the people of the Tower.

Traveller telling Emily that he loves her

At a Workshop laboratory, Emily is seen strapped down to a table with a helmet over her head. She states to herself that she homes to become a human similar to the people of the Tower as a person named Traveller is seen greeting her from a terminal somewhere in the Tower. Catching her attention, Emily greets Traveller back. She is informed by Traveller that he's just made it a new Floor of the Tower, and is now one step close to finally seeing her. Emily begins to react even more as Traveller tells her that he believes she's human, and that he can feel her breathing from his location.

Somewhere in the Tower, Traveller is seen sitting on a box with his supplies laid out in front of him. Traveller informs her that his desire to climb the Tower is to see her, and tells Emily that he loves her. Emily thinks to herself that she hopes to be human. She tries to reply to Traveller that she loves him too, but ends up screaming out to herself that the thought of her being in love is nonsense.

Emily being told that Twenty-Fifth Bam is alive

Calling herself a crazy monster, Emily continues to scream, and struggles on the table she's attached to, that she's someone that can never be human. A being that can never feel love.

Some time later, an unknown person turns on their terminal to speak to Emily. The chatting bot greets the person, but all the unknown person states over the terminal is Twenty-Fifth Bam. Emily is confused by what it means, which the unknown person explains that Twenty-Fifth Bam is alive.
