The episode starts presumably hours after the first, and Tuddrussel is showing Otto all the artifacts from history he has collected over the years. The History Instability alarm goes off and they head over to the control room.

They end up in Ancient Greece, where it's the fateful day that the Greek army is supposed to attack the city of Troy by building the famed "Trojan Horse", and hide the entire army inside to successfully sneak them into the kingdom without raising suspicions.

At first there doesn't seem to be anything out of place. The Greeks have built the horse and request the help of the Time Squad to push it to the city gates, and they do so thinking that there was a group of soldiers already inside it. They watch from a hill using Tuddrussel's binoculars to see that the King of Troy is having a Birthday party, and when he opens the splendid looking horse- candy comes out. The King is unimpressed due to never really liking sweets and orders his servants to throw it all away.

Simon, the leader of the Greek Army is disappointed in the outcome of this. Tuddrussel questions him on why he'd care about the King hating the gift since they are after all at war with them, and Simon insists that Greeks have rules about gifts and even if they are at war it's still rude to not give a gift on someone's birthday. Otto explains that the horse was "Supposed to be filled with soldiers" and Simon takes the advice. . . so we think.

Later, the Greeks come back with a giant wooden giraffe and push it off to the gates of Troy. Otto tries to reassure a hesitant Tuddrussel that the attack will go fine this time because Simon understood completely what they meant by and will do it right.

They watch the King look on confused as another gift of the Greeks arrives. He opens the giraffe up and.. .chocolate soldiers pop out. The King is disgusted, declaring his hatred of chocolate and orders it to be thrown away too.Tuddrussel yells at Simon for getting this wrong again, but Simon just thought that chocolate was different! The Time Squad asks Simon to try this again. With REAL Soldiers this time.

Soon after, the Greeks come back with a giant wooden Soldier. The Time Squad helps the Greeks push it to the gates of the city and notice how much noise and movement is going on from inside. They watch from the hill as the Trojans take it inside and wait for the King to receive it.

The King, totally exasperated with the Greeks by this point opens this new gift expecting something just as dumb. Well, he got a big surprise when a pile of wild horses falls out of the Soldier. The horses wreak havoc on Troy, effectively destroying the city and the people. Simon becomes devastated that the horses ruined the king's birthday, not even caring that he just won the war.

Otto: Well, it's not exactly how it happened in the history books.
Tuddrussel: Aw, close enough.

Tropes

  • Bloodless Carnage: The horses do a number on the city of Troy, with the implication that they have trampled and bitten citizens and set fire to their houses, with only implications to death to be heard.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Simon filling the Trojan Giraffe with chocolate soldiers misses the point of not only winning the war but also getting the sweets hating king a present he likes.
  • Rule of Three: The soldiers send the King of Troy three giant wooden monuments.
  • Stealth Pun: Otto tries to assure Tuddrussel that the Greeks are going to do what's right this time because "That's what Simon said". 'Simon Says' is a children's game that involves a group of participants doing whatever the leader, 'Simon' says.
