After Syou Fu Kan exits his cell, he sees Setsu Mu Syou fighting through endless streams of Onyx Demon fodder. Syou picks up a sword from a dead soldier and continues searching the Seven Sins Tower for Lin Setsu A. He then spots Lin and Chou Mei, and hides. Syou confronts Lin after Chou Mei leaves. Lin then explains his plan to steal the hilt to Syou, and explains that both Syu Un Syou and Kei Gai are villains that would take the Tengyouken for themselves. All Lin wants to do is make Betsu Ten Gai despair. Lin also reveals he had previously stolen the crossguard from Tan Hi and replaced it with a fake, and that the hiding place of the real crossguard is back at the Limitless Temple. Syou Fu Kan then meets with Tan Hi and tells her the plan and to stay in the cell. Meanwhile, Lin Setsu A sets up a deal with Betsu Ten Gai. Afterwards, Lin meets with Syou again and gives him a hood that changes his appearance to disguise him as Lin. They then begin to carry out Lin's plan. At the same time, Ken San Un breaks Tan Hi out of her cell.
Tropes:
- Anti-Villain: Lin Setsu A defines himself as one. Though given his nature as a thief, it's hard to know if he's telling the truth. He states that as a thief he enjoys tricking the proud. It just so happens the most arrogant are evil and therefore more fun to trick.
- Hero-Worshipper: It is revealed Ken looked up to Syu Un Syou as a hero. Sadly he was rather disgusted by his philosophy.
- How the Mighty Have Fallen: Lin Setsu A claims to Syou Fu Kan that he enjoys taking away people's "Pride." As when a person falls from his arrogance, they would most likely learn the ability to humble themselves and live a happier life. As pretty as he sounds, this doesn't make him less of a Jerkass. One. BIT.
- Latex Perfection: Lin Setsu A has a cloth bag that can turn someone's head (and voice) into his own when that someone puts it on. He lets Syou Fu Kan put it on so that Syou can be disguised as him to lure Betsu Ten Gai away from the tower while Lin himself attempts to steal the hilt of the Tengyouken out from Betsu Ten Gai's safe.
- Ship Tease: Ken San Un decides to rescue Tan Hi rather than following his former sworn brother's examples. It is the most romantic moments between him and Tan Hi.
