Syou Fu Kan, disguised as Lin Setsu A, meets with Betsu Ten Gai, who becomes very suspicious, and together with the Onyx Demons, ride their demon birds to the Limitless Temple. As this happens, Lin Setsu A discovers that Syu Un Syou and Kei Gai have also met with Betsu Ten Gai. He then goes to unlock the safe containing the hilt of the Tengyouken, transforming his pipe into chopsticks. Erstwhile, after Syou receives the gold agreed upon for the crossguard of the Tengyouken, he is questioned by Betsu Ten Gai and Chou Mei, who have already seen through his disguise. Syou then acts as bait to allow Lin to finish his part of the plan. However, Betsu Ten Gai had kept the hilt on him the entire time. Meanwhile, Ken and Tan Hi also head to the Limitless Temple by way of a Spirit Tree. There, they find the real crossguard before the others arrive. However, they were followed by Syu Un Syou and Kei Gai, and are forced to fight, during which time Syu shoots out Ken's right eye. Syu Un Syou and Kei Gai obtain the crossguard, forcing Ken and Tan Hi to retreat. Meanwhile, Lin Setsu A, alone again, sets up a trap.

- Doppelgänger Spin: Syu Un Syou can pull shadow clones of himself to throw his targets off his real self in order to pierce them.
- Eye Scream: Syu Un Syou impales Ken San Un's right eye with an arrow attack, leaving Ken impaired for the rest of his fight. Ironically, Syu Un Syou is also blind on his right eye.
- Friend-or-Idol Decision: Tan Hi is forced into the situation where she has to choose to between saving her Tengyouken guard, or the life of Ken San Un. She chose to protect Ken.
- Holding Hands: Tan Hi and Ken San Un have to hold hands in order to stay together when using the Spirit Tree in order to get to the Limitless Temple.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Ken San Un's plan to leave Demon Spine Mountain with Tan Hi and get to the Tengyouken's guard before everyone else backfires horribly as Syu Un Syou and Kei Gai predicted their strategy and stole the piece from them.
