Pooh puts on a pair of skates to try to become faster.

- Bait-and-Switch Comment: Rabbit claims that Pooh being so fast isn't good, it's wonderful. He's proven wrong almost immediately when Pooh speeds through his garden and wrecks it.Rabbit: On the other hand...
- Didn't Think This Through: Gopher's idea of speeding Pooh up involves putting him in roller-skates. Unfortunately, since he doesn't know how to stop, Pooh ends up speeding round the Hundred-Acre Wood causing chaos, motivating the other animals to try and bring him to a stop.
- Impact Silhouette: Pooh leaves a himself-shaped hole through the mattress Gopher set up to stop him.
- Insult Backfire: Pooh takes Rabbit's comment of him being "the slowest bear there is" as a compliment.
- Rule of Three: Gopher tries three plans to stop Pooh; first by pretending to be a crossing guard, then by rigging a bridge to collapse under his feet, and finally setting up a mattress in the middle of the path for him to crash into. All of his plans fail.
