A Plot: Adam finds himself in a pickle when he's recruited to film his high school's final football game of the year and fails to capture his team's winning touchdown.
B Plot: Beverly discovers her neighbor is moving and she's determined to buy his home.
- Down to the Last Play: William Penn's team manages to pull off a win at the very end of the game. Unfortunately, Adam was distracted and didn't catch it on film.
- Every Year They Fizzle Out: In-Universe, William Penn's football team keeps losing every year. So it's a big deal when they actually pull off a win and Adam failed to capture it on tape.
- Missing the Good Stuff: Because Adam's attention shifted away from the action on the field, he failed to film the last-second winning touchdown.
- Shout-Out: Several to The Wonder Years. Adam's narration of the video he prepared for the victory rally is patterned after older Kevin's narration. In The Tag, the main characters argue over who is the best Wonder Years character.
