Destroyah works the fields harvesting apples. She's bored out of her mind and considers this degrading. The Cutie Mark Crusaders show up and offer her a snack. She dissolves it with her Micro-Oxygen and prepares to suck it up, but they remind her that her pony form is not immune to the corrosive effects. Granny Smith determined that the reason why she fainted after eating the Timberwolves is because the Micro-Oxygen nearly destroyed her digestive tract. They offer another snack and she eats it the old fashioned way. She feels a strange warm feeling in her chest and is confused, then decides she hates it. She grudgingly thanks them and gets back to work.
The injured and exhausted Albino Hyper Gyaos staggers through White Tail Woods, trying to find shade against the burning sunlight. The energy her master gave her returned to him, causing her to shrink to a few meters long. She notices the twelve remaining members of her flock approaching and signals them, then remembers too late that she's bleeding and her race will eat anything they can catch, including each other. She orders them to stay back, but they attack.
Apparently, Destroyah thrashed around in her sleep last night and damaged the barn. Granny Smith orders Anguirus to buy some nails. He walks into town and is annoyed both by that everypony is staring at him and although he understands a bit about human civilization and knows how to read, he doesn't know the layout of Ponyville so he has no idea where to buy nails. He thinks it would be too awkward to ask a pony. Mothra contacts him with long-distance telepathy and tells him to read a newspaper as something big has come up. He complains and asks why she doesn't just tell him. She terrifies him by yelling that after all the crap she's gone through yesterday, her energy is really low and she can't keep up the telepathy for long. She also tells him to tell Rodan what happened when he runs into him again. He wanders around, trying to find both a hardware store and a newspaper stand, when he finds an awkwardly placed vase. When he approaches it, Pinkie Pie pops out with a large amount of confetti and streamers, with music playing as she announces it's a party to welcome the Kaiju to Equestria. He looks around bewildered, asking where the music is coming from and how she fit in the vase, but finds her gone. Where she was standing is a slice of cake on a plate and a note saying she'll have to cut this short because she has to take care of baby Pumpkin and Pound Cake. Inside the vase is a newspaper. Thankful for small favors, he reads it and is shocked by the title: "Canterlot Under Siege! Monsters Among Us!"
Destroyah eats one of the apples she harvested, lamenting how low she's sunk, from hero-slayer and antithesis of life to farm laborer. The Cutie Mark Crusaders run up and hug her, scared out of their minds. She orders them to let go, and they tell her they saw Slendermane, a faceless demonic pony who snatches up lost fillies in the woods. Annoyed, she says she doesn't care, but they ask her to help them defeat him. She thinks it is a waste of time, but agrees both to get them to stop bothering her and because she's bored and wants a fight.
Anguirus curses himself for ignoring it when he sensed Mothra and Godzilla's transformations the other day. According to the newspaper, while some of the populace are thankful for Godzilla's heroics, the majority are terrified. Parents saw violence they sought to shield their children from, other groups were livid at the damages Junior caused and could potentially cause; and numerous politicians were calling out what they saw as a menace to society their princesses were harboring. Since everypony saw Godzilla return to his pony form and get carried into the castle by Princess Luna, the public knows that the princesses were aware of his existence and are outraged. Ponies are getting paranoid that any strange pony could be a monster in disguise, and Anguirus realizes that is why everypony in town was staring at him.
Pinkie Pie surprises him by suddenly appearing right next to him, and she continues to want to throw him a party. He says he has to find a way to get through town unnoticed. She says she has an idea, and in the blink of an eye she has suddenly dressed him in a bodysuit that looks like her, her Pinkie Suit. She says it is the perfect disguise, but he rightfully points out it looks ridiculous and will only attract attention. Rarity shows up and asks what all the commotion is all about. When she sees them, she quickly ushers them into her home, Carousel Boutique.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders lead Destroyah into a cave where they claimed they saw Slendermane. When they see what appears to be the monster, Destroyah fires her Micro-Oxygen, but is surprised when it seems to hit nothing, but a small scream is heard and something small runs away that seems to be a wild animal. They look closer and find the figure was only a shadow, coming from a small doll. Apple Bloom sheepishly picks it up, explaining it is Big Macintosh's Smarty Pants doll, which he had lost a while ago. Disappointed, Destroyah walks away. They ask the "princess" what is wrong, and she roars that she is not a princess and to stop wasting her time. They are confused and don't understand why she is so angry.
Anguirus is grateful to be out of the Pinkie Suit as Rarity serves him and Pinkie Pie tea. Rarity formally introduces herself and offers her hoof for him to kiss, but he doesn't understand the gesture, so she retracts it. He doesn't understand the drawings and equipment inside the boutique, so she explains her occupation as a fashion designer and seamstress. While he understands that some creatures like humans need clothes, he doesn't understand why the ponies would have clothes at all, since they have fur and most don't wear clothes anyway. Rarity explains that they are for formal occasions and sometimes ponies just want to look fabulous. She offers to make him and any of his friends outfits whenever they ask, commenting that Mothra would look absolutely stunning in a dress. The conversation turns to the newspaper, and Rarity and Pinkie offer to do everything in their power to make the Kaiju's stay in Equestria comfortable and to smooth things over with the public. He asks why they would do such a thing for a stranger, one who is really a monster. They answer that they have seen some pretty crazy stuff in their time, and it has taught them that looks don't matter, only heart and deeds. Anguirus and his friends are good people and deserve some happiness.
As Destroyah walks back to Sweet Apple Acres, she vents her frustrations by using a combination of her Micro-Oxygen, Laser Horn, and brute strength to absolutely demolish the trees around her. When she is done, she is surprised to find it didn't make her feel better. Then it suddenly starts raining. She discovers she retained a weakness from her original form: she cannot stand cold temperatures, and runs seeking shelter.
Rarity combs Anguirus' mane and tail to make him look more presentable. She also advises him to conceal his fangs. Pinkie leaves to check on Pumpkin and Pound Cake. Anguirus thanks Rarity for all her help. As he leaves, she offers him an umbrella, but he doesn't mind a little rain.
Hyper Gyaos finishes off the last of the Gyaos. She is utterly heartbroken from killing off the last of her family in self-defense. Furthermore, Gyaos reproduce asexually, but she is sterile, so once she dies, her race will go extinct. She starts crying and screaming, from a combination of her injuries, her sorrow, and her hunger. A gentle female voice like a wind chime tells her to rest now and help is on the way, and she falls asleep. A few minutes later, Monster X shows up. The voice told him where she was, and while he's still eager to know who she is, his top priority is to save his comrade, and he carries out her through a portal to Zenith.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders take shelter from the rain in their clubhouse. Eventually, Rarity comes to pick Sweetie Belle up, and Apple Bloom goes back to the farm, but Scootaloo says she'll wait out the rain. As they leave, she starts to get sad, as she is an orphan, and although Sister Rosary is a good caretaker and Rainbow Dash is an awesome surrogate sister, she can't help but feel jealous that her friends have a real family and she doesn't. She hears wings flapping and assumes it's Rainbow Dash, but it's Destroyah, who crams herself into the clubhouse to get out of the rain. Scootaloo helps her towel off and she grudgingly thanks her. Destroyah asks why she stayed in the clubhouse and Scootaloo says the orphanage is nice and all, but it doesn't really feel like home, and she can stay out as long as she likes because they always assume she's staying with Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo then apologizes for the whole Slendermane fiasco and comments that Destroyah is so brave. Destroyah remarks that of course she is brave, she's one of the most powerful beings in existence, but even if she wasn't, danger and death is a universal fact of life, so it is pointless to be afraid of anything. Scootaloo says she'll keep that in mind and falls asleep against her. Destroyah contemplates throwing her out, but feels the warm feeling in her chest again. She gives up and falls asleep as well.
Anguirus is grateful that most of the townsfolk went inside due to the rain, but he's regretting not taking an umbrella as his pony body is not immune to cold like his true form. The owner of a restaurant invites him inside. She is a Kirin named Ki Seong, but most ponies mispronounce it as Tea Song, since most ponies' names are related to their looks and Cutie Marks. Like ponies, Kirins have Cutie Marks, and hers is a teacup. She introduces herself as an immigrant from Carrea, a peninsula near Neighpon (causing Anguirus to comment to himself about the strange coincidence that Equestria has its own versions of Korea and Japan). Since moving to Ponyville, she's set up this restaurant that is designed after Carrean culture and serves Carrean food and tea. She serves him some tea on the house and asks him about himself. He lies and says he's from the frontier and is named Quill Coat. She performs a toast to meeting new friends. He's finding himself fascinated by her looks, voice, and mannerisms and doesn't understand why.
Inside the cave, what appears to be the real Slendermane staggers out, but is revealed to be a Changeling who shape-shifted, believing the upcoming Nightmare Night would allow it to blend in more easily. Destroyah's Micro-Oxygen destroyed its horn. It flies away, despite the rain, muttering that Queen Chrysalis must be informed of this latest development.
