Jerkass Has a Point: Downplayed. Part of Richie's criticism of Carmy is that the Beef hasn't had money problems until Carmy showed up. What undercuts this point is the Beef is a mess in virtually every other regard, and that Mikey's financial management was still questionable at best.
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: For most of the episode, Richie comes off as a grade-A asshole: he's openly disrespectful to Carmy, makes an insensitive comment to Syd and is overall obnoxious. But when push comes to shove and the crowd is getting out of control, he steps in and de-escalates the situation (albeit with a warning shot).
