Heel Realization: When Arnold's father realizes that his parenting style has turned him into something he doesn't want him to become ... a spoiled brat who thinks he can get away with anything. Opie also has this when he sticks around to watch the exchange between Arnold and his father, and Andy and Barney, sees this is not who he wants to be and ... after father and son leave, apologizes to Andy and makes good on his vow to do better.
Laser-Guided Karma: Arnold daring Andy (and Barney) to arrest his father so he can get his prized bicycle back. The father finally stands up for himself.
Arnold's behavior rubs off on Opie, who dares his father to give him his allowance anyway even without doing chores or if he's misbehaving. Andy is wise to this and makes good on his threat to withhold his allowance.
