While Puss in Boots is willing to be jailed for eternity for his crimes, when the Mole King also wants to imprison the citizens of San Lorenzo, he decides to come out of retirement and fight back and gives them Uli to imprison in his place. Things become complicated when Puss realizes he still needs Uli to tell them information about the Bloodwolf, so he goes to try and rescue him.

- Berserk Button: Puss accidentally breaks the Mole King's bally, and he shows no mercy.
- Heroic Second Wind: Puss in Boots comes out of retirement to save his friends.
- Immediate Sequel: Opens as Puss is being taken away by the Molemen at the end of "Bootless Cries"
- Lightning Bruiser: Mole King is amazingly fast when he puts his mind to it, even Puss can't keep up with him.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Mole King delivers one to Puss without any weapons or anything.
- Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Puss asks for his sword back from Toby, and instead of handing it to him, he throws it at him. Puss does manage to catch it, but in reverse grip instead.Puss: That was very dangerous, but impressive looking!
