Recap / Teen Titans Go S 6 E 30 Bucket List

Go To

Starfire learns that the other Titans have their own Bucket Lists (that aren't just lists of their favorite buckets, like hers), and is convinced to compile and complete her own list of achievements to avoid a meaningless existence.

  • Animate Inanimate Object: After the elderly Titans complete the final item on Starfire's Bucket List, it summons a sentient bucket with arms and legs, who confirms that Starfire's original belief that friendships should have meant more than accomplishments and then taunts the Titans so they will fight back and die by "kicking the bucket". While Starfire instead befriends the bucket, Beast Boy has a grudge against it (the bucket apparently stole his girlfriend during "the war"), and the episode ends with an "In Memoriam" dedicated to him.
  • Skewed Priorities: None of the other Titans agree with Starfire that they should value interpersonal connections over the completion of overly difficult and embarrassing accomplishments, with Robin at one point cutting a safety line and causing Beast Boy to fall down a mountain because he was slowing them down from completing one of the Bucket List items.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Beast Boy dies by kicking the Bucket Lord as an old man.
  • Time Skip: After the first few items on Starfire's list are complete, it transitions to a montage and then cuts to sixty years later when everyone is elderly and Starfire's finished the final task.
