Beast Boy invites Terra, who had been sealed by Raven into the same pocket dimension where they throw away all of their trash in her previous appearance, to a Valentine's Day dance.
- Cardiovascular Love: Starfire attempts to celebrate Valentine's Day by giving a heart to Robin, but freaks him out by giving him a still-beating organ.
- Dating Catwoman: In addition to Beast Boy still caring about Terra, Cyborg invites Jinx to the Valentine's Day dance, though he keeps being shocked by two officers overseeing her when he tries to lean in for a kiss.
- Like Brother and Sister: At the Valentine's Day dance, after trying to celebrate the holiday with more romantic gestures, Starfire admits to Robin that she merely likes him like a sibling.
- Police Brutality: The guards with Jinx repeatedly taze Cyborg simply for interacting with Jinx.
- Revenge: The episode starts with Terra, six months into her imprisonment in the Trash Hole, declaring that she'll get her revenge on the Titans, especially Beast Boy. Once Beast Boy frees her, she spends the rest of the episode clearly setting up her revenge, and Beast Boy is more upset that she isn't being honest with her feelings than he is about her wanting to kill them all.
- Saying Too Much: After learning from Raven where she sealed Terra, Cyborg promises not to let Beast Boy know. He accidentally lets it slip in the very next scene when Beast Boy wonders where he can get a date for Valentine's Day.
- Silly Love Songs: Beast Boy creates and sings one for Terra, called "Fade Away", to convince her that he still genuinely cares about her despite her desire to get revenge on all of the Titans. Terra is genuinely touched by it, dropping her guard long enough for Raven to punch her with magic and drop her back into the Trash Hole.
- Valentine's Day Episode: The episode is focused on the Titans trying to prepare for a Valentine's Day dance.
