• Hoist by His Own Petard: Bobby joining the mission with Josh for this episode eventually comes to bite him in the end.
• Laser-Guided Karma: When he learned of Bobby ditching Josh and his friends twice as well as the fact that he didn't actually destroyed the distress signal, Principal Kirkpatrick tells Bobby that he is going to be punish for those acts by the time they landed back to Galaxy High.
• Miles Gloriosus: After ditching Josh and his friends the second time at planet RTS811, Bobby comes up with a story to Principal Kirkpatrick that sacrificed themselves in order to give him a chance to escape. Just then, they suddenly showed up, and the principal is not amused of being lied to.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Bobby does this twice in saving his own skin while leaving Josh and his friends behind to deal with whatever mess at planet RTS811.
