Recently, and unofficially promoted, once Sergeant, now Major Lazarus marches with tens of thousands of his men to assail the entrenched enemy artillery position. But against clones bred for war, victory can not be purchased cheaply.
Tropes in this special include:
- Recognition Failure: Lazarus fails to recognize the famous and renowned Death Korps of Krieg until the commissar attached to them literally spells it out to him that their regimental homeworld is called Krieg.
- To Be Continued: The special ends with Major Lazarus telling Commissar Indricta that he has a plan after she introduces him to the Death Korps of Krieg. The episode then cuts to black with the caption "Continued in..." followed by the title of the next special episode "Soldiers of the Storm".
- Villain Episode: This is an Imperial Guard-focused special episode with Lazarus as the POV character.
