Recap / Seijuu Sentai Gingaman Ep 33

Go To

Illiess sends out her brother Desphias to try and awaken Daitanix with people's sadness. With the other Gingamen incapacitated, Saya must find a way to save her friends while dealing with a shy boy.

Episode Tropes:

  • Emotional Powers: Desphias uses Masks of Sadness to extract people's sadness, making them feel sorrow in a permanent state. According to Desphias, he needs 3,333 victims to awaken Daitanix.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • Early in the episode, the Balban crew feels an earthquake-like shake in the fortress, indicating that something is going on with Daitanix.
    • At the end of the episode, Zahab promises Battobas that his time as field commander will come soon.
  • Nepotism: The family lines of Illiess and Brucates continue as the former calls in her younger brother Desphias to help her, calling him her trump card. Shelinda even calls Illiess out for making her younger brother her strongest Majin based on this trope alone.
  • The Reveal: Daitanix is beginning to rot away due to the seal, making the Balban Army more desperate to awaken the former.
  • Tagalong Kid: Kid of the week Kyohei tags along with Saya to find a magic fruit to restore the male Gingamen's emotions. His reasoning for this is because he feels responsible for nearly getting Saya affected by Desphias' Mask of Sorrow.
