The battle between Red and Blue reaches its peak, when O'Malley reveals himself.
This episode has examples of:
- Brick Joke: Sarge programmed the robot Church possessed to attack Grif every time someone says "Dirtbag." At the end of the episode, the soldier who captures Grif and Church says, "I said freeze, you dirtbag!" Cue the sound of a punch and Grif crying out in pain.
- Cliffhanger: The season ends with the Teams separated, and Grif and Church taken prisoner.
- Enemy Mine: The Reds and Blues team-up to track down O'Malley.
- Foreshadowing: An unintentional case, but the fact that Church is able to easily read the message left in binary by Sheila and Lopez serves as a subtle clue that he's actually another A.I. like they are and not a ghost.
- Party Scattering: Due to going through the sabotaged teleporter, the Reds and Blues end up going to different places.
- Sarge and Caboose end up in a stream somewhere.
- Simmons finds himself in a room full of doors.
- Grif and Church land in some frozen landscape, and are promptly arrested by another Blue Trooper.
- Donut, Tucker, Sheila, and Tex remain in Blood Gulch.
