Ash and co. arrive in Coumarine City for Ash's next gym battle and Serena's first Pokemon Showcase, but their plans are put on hold when a Vanillish and Vanilluxe go on a rampage freezing the city while searching for their missing Vanillite friend.

- Butt-Monkey: Poor Clemont. He has to deal with Bonnie trying to set him up again and Chespin flirting with the girl's female Pokemon, both at once. Then, he can barely make it up the hill towards the gym so he whips out a new invention to help, which inevitably explodes. Then he gets attacked by a group of Victreebel like James used to and when Pikachu tries to help by attacking them with Thunderbolt, they release Clemont at the last second so he gets hit instead.
