- Emotion Bomb: Delcatty's ability is Cute Charm, so whenever Ambipom uses a move that makes direct contact, it runs the risk of becoming infatuated with Delcatty. Unfortunately, it successfully happens twice.
- Spin to Deflect Stuff: Ambipom manages to block Delcatty's Sing by spinning around while simultaneously hitting Delcatty with Double Hit. This gives Ash the idea to counter Fantina's Hypnosis that will eventually become his famous Counter Shield technique.
