"Armada is going to be one of those toylines that contributes a lot to my efforts. Smokescreen is one of Transformers most infamous shelf warmers and here you get to see why."
Release: August 7, 2008
Tropes
- Awesome, yet Impractical:
- TJ points out that his Mini-Con towing hook makes no sense because they're so tiny and is even more useless in robot mode.
- Smokescreen's head automorphs when his crane is pulled into position. This means you can't move the crane to improve his balance without moving his head along with it or vice versa.
- Smokescreen's Mini-Con gimmick deploys a BFG bigger than the figure itself... so big that he can't stand.
- Bigger Is Better: Inverted. TJ believes the Mini-Con, Liftor, is a better toy than Smokescreen himself, and that the set is almost worth $10 just for the accessory figure.
- Catchphrase: The first episode to feature it:"I['ll] stay addicted, so you can stay away."
