Bravestone, a small Calisotan town outside of Duckburg, is making final preparations for dinner. Some are making dinner, while others are enjoying the hockey match. A knock on the door? Seems the family has arrived early. Only... They're a tad bit more... Alien this time around.
- Christmas Episode: although the Christmas theme is not prominent.
- Mythology Gag: Bravestone, the village attacked by the Evronians, has the same name as a village in a Carl Barks story, and two old citizens speak about a young Scrooge McDuck.
- Samus Is a Girl: The readers are led to believe that the teenager from Bravestone who escaped the Evronians is a male, until she finds the Duck Avenger and we finally see her face and read her name, Mallory.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Mallory's father grabs an axe and attacks the evronians, stating that he's always wanted to be the hero in an action movie. The evronians merely disintegrate the axe.
