Pumpkin is excitedly talking to Smarty Pants and calls Pound a troublemaker. Pound is offended and tells Pumpkin that he realises he has to use the potty now. He then asks his sister who Smarty Pants is and she explains, telling him not to steal her. Pound is grumpy because he got a shot, then he suggests his sister try wetting her diaper at night because it's less effort than going to the bathroom.
Pumpkin wakes up at night needing to pee and has a dilemma: use her diaper to make her brother happy, or go to the potty because that feels more right. She decides to use it anyways.
This chapter provides examples of
- Afraid of Needles: Downplayed. The twins aren't that scared of needles, but do find them annoying and painful and try to avoid them.
- Pain to the Ass: Apparently, Pound once got a shot in his butt that was so painful, he couldn't sit down for days.
