     Chapter One: Peace Conference

Short version:The Lamia Peace Conference finds all of the player characters congregating into the pilot's lounge, watching the conference on a screen. They interact with each other for a time before being called out for an intermission demonstration of their skills- A demonstration that is interrupted by an attacking enemy flight group. The Federation and Centauri both believe it's an ambush by the other side and attack each other, while the players attempt to protect the station from the unknowns. It ends with the station being destroyed, and the Knights and Aces going their seperate ways.

  • The Lamia Peace Conference begins, taking place at the station L37.
  • Most of the pilots wait in the lounge of the station.
  • Jaedong works on painting his AMF in the hanger of the Seraphim, expecting the conference to go sour.
  • Jimmy attempts to break the ice with a discussion about roosters, and how delicious they are.
  • Hobbes responds by giving him some spicy sea rat. Jimmy grabs a cup of water.
  • Roxy arrives late with a badly fitted uniform, and runs into the lounge, crashing into Jimmy and getting sea rat in her hair.
  • Lorraine helps Roxy up, who introduces herself. Jimmy recognizes her as the latest recruit.
  • Everyone begins to try and help Roxy, who is understandably flustered. Flint also vaguely hits on her
  • Jaedong enters, ignoring Roxy, threatening everyone and sitting down in the corner.
  • Lorraine mentions to Roxy that her Frame is a Terai Stalker.
  • Jimmy almost challenges Jaedong to a duel, but Lorraine stops him. Hobbes tells Jaedong to back down, and apologizes to the Centaurians for his behavior.
  • Roxy says that Lorraine's Frame is old, who responds that just because it's old does not mean it's ineffective.
  • The pilots begin to settle down to watch the proceedings. The negotiations appear to be going as well as could be expected, especially due to Ehrich Kahlings being drowned out.
  • Flint apologizes to Roxy for his behavior. She turns out to have not even noticed, but because he apologized everything must be ok. Right?
  • Lorraine explains that Kahlings was never good at public speaking.
  • Dain Keller enters, wishing he was back on his ship. Lorraine greets him, as they've apparently met before, as does Roxy, who salutes awkwardly.
  • Loam speaks up and asks what Keller's doing in the pilot's lounge, but Hobbes misinterprets him as speaking to the pilots.
  • Jimmy is extremely enthusiastic at greeting Loam.
  • Lorraine and Keller appear unsure about the results of the treaty, while Jimmy is certain it will end well. Hobbes agrees with Jimmy, while Loam is a pessimist.
  • Hobbes says that the treaty can't possibly succeed if no one tries.
  • Annabel enters and is very quiet. Hobbes offers her a drink, but she declines. She also steals Jaedong's seat.
  • Mikal Quasp enters, followed shortly by Alexei Niktokov.
  • It turns out that most of the Centauri pilots are old comrades, while the Federation unit hasn't even met until recently.
  • Quasp is certainly not stealing cake from a lounge he was not invited to.
  • Deciding to keep her enemies closer, Roxy goes to talk to Jaedong. He uses his catch phrase for the first time and threatens her, but she stands her ground.
  • Hobbes demands to know from Quasp if Heartfield is flying, but the officer doesn't know. Hobbes then goes to try defuse the tensions between Roxy and Jaedong.
  • Jimmy is about to challenge Jaedong to a duel, but Jaedong walks off beforehand.
  • Roxy feels bad about causing an argument, but Flint says it was a good gesture of peace. Others agree, and Jimmy slaps her on the back, nearly causing her to choke.
  • Lorraine and Alexei talk, noting how despite the supposed formality of their presence everything seems to be going very informal.
  • The pilots begin to filter out to their Frames as a demonstration flight is announced.
  • Roxy reveals she's never actually flown her Frame outside of the simulators before.
  • The two groups launch, getting into formation outside of the station. Flint begins demonstration early, discharging his weapon into a piece of debris. Fortunately, it's assumed to be part of the show.
  • The Aces and Knights begin to demonstrate their combat skills on debris scattered from ships in the area. Meanwhile, Alexai asks Lorraine about how she's supposed to inherit a planet, but she doesn't want to.
  • Jaedong chooses not to launch, instead waiting on the Seraphim.
  • Piper Lee launches late, having been doing repairs on her Frame. Its leg is still off.
  • The station is attacked by several unknown Frames of both Centauri and Federation origin. The peace conference dissolves into chaos.
  • Jaedong launches into the battle.
  • The Seraphim moves below the station and begins to fire on the unknowns, as the Castellan goes above.
  • The players move to protect the transports carrying dignitaries, blasting away at the enemies. Various random shutdowns, overshots and explosions mark the combat.
    • The final score: three killed by Jaedong, one by Piper, one by Hobbes, two by Roxanne, one by Lorraine, and one by Annabel.
  • A Frame crashes into a transport, exploding and destroying the entire Station. President Adrian Altwood and others get away, but Ehrich Kahlings isn't so lucky. The peace conference has failed.
  • The Feds capture a disabled enemy Frame.
  • The Feds retreat from the area.
  • The Cents return to their ship. They check to see who got off, but there's no information about Ehrich Kahlings available.
  • War is declared anew.
