Genki and the Searchers run into Pixie and Big Blue. Their reunion is short-lived, however, as Scaled Jells attack the group. While the Jells initially seem easy to defeat, they're able to reform after being blasted apart, and during the fight Pixie is badly hurt saving Genki's life.
Separated from the others, Genki and Pixie fight their way back, battling Scaled Jells and their own pride and stubbornness. Eventually, they're cornered with no chance of escape, and Captain Scaled Jell commands Pixie to kill Genki herself—if she does, Moo will be lenient.
Pixie's response is to completely destroy the Scaled Jells in one powerful attack. She's made her choice about which side she's on, and she's with the Searchers now. Pixie and Big Blue bid farewell to Genki, leaving to spy on Moo.
