Inspired by the Ranger teens' assignment of "what period of history would you like to have lived in?", Rita and Zedd summon the Wizard of Deception, who sends five of the teens back in time, leaving Tommy alone and vulnerable in the present! The Wizard then uses a piece of Tommy's hair to create a clone of him... with the powers of the Green Ranger and a total dedication to the pursuit of evil! Can Billy, Kimberly, Aisha, Rocky, and Adam survive in Angel Grove, California... during the British Colonial days?

- Complexity Addiction: The Wizard of Deception and his putties had Tommy knocked unconscious. Rather than take this opportunity to simply kill him and rid themselves of the White Ranger, they cut off some of his hair and teleported away, so they could use the hair to create an evil Tommy clone... who would hopefully be able to rid them of the White Ranger.
- Humans Are Morons: The Wizard of Deception's opinion, specifically towards Bulk & Skull.
- Mirror Match: Thomas James Oliver vs. his literal dark side.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Subverted when Tommy and Kimberley run into the ensorcelled Bulk and Skull. After asking if they're OK, they both say (in unison, in a weird monotone) "yes... we're... OK..." before walking off. Tommy and Kimberley just shrug it off, because those two are so weird that this isn't particularly strange for them!
