Max is summoned to find out he might not actually be the Mighty One, and has to compete with another Max (Corey Burton doing his James Bond Jr. voice) to stop Skullmaster from stealing a book of ancient magic that would enable him to get up to all kinds of apocalyptic mischief.
Tropes:
- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Since the episode's set in the Himalayas, a few encounters with Yetis were obligatory.
- The Mole: Maximilian was actually being mind-controlled by Skullmaster. He seemed like a more competent Mighty One because it was all an act the villains were in on.
- Spell Book: The Lemurian Codex that Skullmaster's in the Himalayas to steal. It'll tell him how to make a new Crystal of Souls.
