When Adorabat gets teased by Chester, she wishes that she can roast Chester with her jokes, causing the Ruby Pure Heart to take control of Adorabat and causing her to insult Chester and fend him off. However, while fighting the Sky Pirates, Adorabat not only defeats the Sky Pirates with her new zing power, but also causes havoc, even going as far as to dethrone the king, intending to rule over the kingdom forever. Now, Mao Mao and Badgerclops are forced to fight Adorabat in order to bring her back to her senses.

- Ambiguous Situation: Adorabat was being mind controlled by the power of the Ruby Pure Heart to not only zing her friends, but also attempt to take over the kingdom. We never find out how and why the ruby controlled Adorabat.
- Chekhov's Gun: Adorabat's joke book, which Mao Mao uses to counter her insults with clean, harmless jokes.
- Harsh Word Impact: Adorabat's zings create pink blasts out of her mouth that knock out her targets.
- The Immune: Adorabat's zings have no effect on Pinky because "I hate myself". Mao Mao and Badgerclops try to make themselves immune by zinging themselves, but by that time Adorabat is too powerful.
- Papa Wolf: Mao Mao becomes enraged at the way Chester treats Adorabat, and tried to physically attack the porcupine.
- Wham Episode: This is first time the Ruby Pure Heart is shown to have a sentient power. Since it tried to use Adorabat to take over Pure Heart Valley, the Ruby Pure Heart might not actually live up to its name.
