While traveling through space, Tera finds himself surrounded by a swarm of Unversed. He fights them off aboard his Keyblade Glider, but eventually stumbles upon a massive ship in deep space and is captured before getting imprisoned by the Grand Councilwoman and Captain Gantu.
Waking up in a prison cell, Terra notices more Unversed in the prison hold. He busts out of jail and fights the monsters off, impressing another captive: Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Jumba convinces Terra to set him free to help find his creation, Experiment 626.
The two eventually find the captive Experiment 626, who Jumba explains is meant for vast amounts of destruction across the universe. As the experiment snatches Terra's Wayfinder, Terra convinces him to return the treasure, as it is his bond of friendship to Aqua and Ven. Surprisingly, the experiment concedes, much to Jumba's surprise. As Terra explains that maybe Experiment 626 is capable of more than just his purpose, an enraged Jumba proceeds to show Terra just how incorruptible his other experiments are as he releases another of his creations: Experiment 221.
Terra fights Experiment 221 and returns the experiment back to its pod. However, as 221 is vanquished, an alarm sounds all over the ship about the escaped prisoners, forcing Terra to flee...
