Recap / Justice League Action S 1 E 42 Phased And Confused

Go To

Solar activity rips a temporary hole between Earth's dimension and the Phantom Zone, allowing General Zod to escape. He immediately goes to Earth, seeking the Phantom Zone projector so he can free Faora and Non.

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman manage to stop him, and get the projector back to the Watchtower. Unfortunately Zod escaped, albeit in phantom form. Worse, he'd fired at the heroes through a Kryptonian prism...which had a delayed effect, causing the trio to gradually begin phasing into the Phantom zone. The Watchtower is deserted, but a member is coming on monitor duty soon. Unfortunately the leaguer who arrives is slacker hero Booster Gold.

The League computer alerts Booster to a problem. He dismisses the message without reading it in favor of video games. Batman writes a message in steam on the bathroom mirror. Booster wipes it away without reading it to check his teeth. Batman gets a bulb flashing in Morse Code, only for Booster to see it and decide it means the bulb needs replacing.

Wonder Woman gets an idea and the Trinity uses the last of their fading ability to interact with earth to knock over a candy dish and use the candies to lead Booster to the projector.

As the three heroes begin to fade, Booster finally catches on, seeing them in the Prism. Unfortunately, when he fires up the projector, Zod intersects the beam and rematerializes instead of the heroes. Zod then releases his cronies.

Booster asks that since Earth is doomed anyway, that he be banished to the Zone with his friends. Zod considers this a request he will grant because it means Booster will suffer. He fires, but Booster pulls up the prism at the last second, bouncing the beam and freeing the trinity who soon return the villains to the Zone. Booster ends up not phantomized but trapped in the prism.

The trinity compliment Booster for his quick thinking. When he asks them to release him, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman share a playfully pensive glance at each other.
