Jane struggles to move past her feelings for Rafael, while planning her wedding with Michael. Meanwhile, Xiomara learns the truth about the bracelet from Rogelio's gift basket, and tries to figure out how to tell Jane that Rogelio is her father.
Tropes:
- Fangirl: Rogelio ducks inside the bridal shop where Jane is trying on dresses to avoid a pack of them, which leads Jane learning that he's her father.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: Rafael tells Petra how brilliant their plan was: she pretends to be on Lachlan's side until they get what they want, and then betray him. Five seconds later, it's clear that Rafael has done the same thing to Petra: now that she's helped him overcome Lachlan, he's going ahead with their divorce.
- Internal Reveal: Jane learns that Rogelio is her father at the end of the episode.
- Not What It Looks Like: Michael walks in on Jane and Rafael in the pool together. Actually she fell in the pool trying to back away from him, and he jumped in to save her.
- Sexy Soaked Shirt: Rafael after he jumps in the swimming pool to try to save Jane.
- Unrequited Love Switcheroo: Jane spends most of the episode involuntarily fantasizing about Rafael (and trying really hard not to). When he says he sees her like a sister, the fantasy immediately ends... but then he starts fantasizing about her.
