After the truth about Rowan comes out, Amalia leaves. Will she ever come back?
Tropes:
- Big Damn Heroes: If Amalia's relationship score is high enough, she will return at the end of the chapter and knock Connor out before he can kill Rowan.
- Boom, Headshot!: Connor (who has almost completed his transformation into a Horror) blows the head off a police officer who's asking too many questions for his liking.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: During the optional scene of Connor comforting Devon, he mentions that he's been feeling a lot more angry lately, and he's uncharacteristically callous about Amalia leaving. At the end of the chapter, he's revealed to have become a Horror.
- Liar Revealed: If Rowan didn't tell their friends the truth in the previous chapter, their Power half will show up and reveal the truth for them. Amalia will lose more relationship points in this case.
- Murder Is the Best Solution: Defied. When Connor shoots the police officer before she digs too deep, Rowan rightfully calls him out on it. Connor tries to justify his actions with this trope, but Rowan vehemently disagrees.Rowan: There were a million ways we could have solved this without killing anyone!
- Wham Line: Two at the end of the chapter, one of them is from more of a meta point:
- After Connor tries to kill Rowan and either Amalia or Noah/Devon knock him out, Rowan realises what happened to him:
Rowan: Devon, Noah, I think Connor has become a Horror.- The end of chapter results screen has one if Amalia's relationship score is too low (less than 75/100, her starting relationship score). If you see this line in place of her Nerve score, she's not coming back:
Alive, but left. Final Relationship: <75/100 - You Lose at Zero Trust: Amalia will only come back if her relationship score is at least 75/100. If it's anything less than that, she will not appear again until the final chapter (and even then, only in the Mixed route, the Shadow Route, or any route where Rowan dies), at which point (in the Mixed route) she will cut all ties with Rowan.
