- Shout-Out: Marshall claims that The Universe once sent him signs to quit GNB and become... a Ghostbuster. Said signs included an ambulance car, a firehouse for sale and, after running into Ernie Hudson by chance and asking if he could borrow his phone, he asked "Who're you gonna call?"Robin: And did Marshall become a Ghostbuster?
Marshall: That firehouse is still for sale.
Lily: Even Ernie Hudson begged you not to go through that.
Marshall: Ernie Hudson is a coward!!! - Suddenly Shouting: The fourth time she breaks a lamp, Robin screams what you see written under Running Gag.
- Visual Pun: Marshall and Lily's apartment getting progressively smaller as they are more convinced to move into the Long Island house.
