Summary
After their near kiss at the Halloween Dance and the realization that they do have a crush on each other, Makoto and Kyoko are left to deal with the emotional aftermath. - The Confidant: Sakura acts as this to Kyoko, as she lets her air out her grievances about her feelings for Makoto.
- Inconvenient Attraction: After her and Makoto's Almost Kiss, Kyoko tries to push herself into her work in order to make her feelings for him die down with little success.Kyoko: (Thinking) What the hell is wrong with me? I spent the last couple of days holed up in the office so I could get away from Makoto and stop thinking about kissing him. So why…why don’t I get him and my urge to kiss him out of my head?
- Internal Reveal: Mukuro, who didn't attend the Halloween Dance, learns about Makoto and Kyoko's Almost Kiss.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Sakura notes how she and Kyoko are the same when it comes to love, as they both started to fall for someone who helped them to become better people.
- Relationship Sabotage: Discussed. When hearing Mukuro's advice for Makoto, Kiki asks Present!Kyoko if she was trying to sabotage her and Makoto's relationship. While Present!Kyoko notes that it might be possible, due to Mukuro also having feelings for Makoto, she thinks that it might just be that the main reason is that she was trying to cheer Makoto up.
- Workaholic: Out of a desire to not think about her and Makoto's Almost Kiss, Kyoko ends up taking on her coworkers' paperwork at the police station and had been working day in and day out with the occasional meal and bathroom breaks. This causes the Police Chief to notice this, correctly guess the reason why she's doing it, and makes her leave the station to clear her head.
