As Dr. House is discussing the current case with the remaining applicants, Dr. Cuddy barges in to announce that Dr. Foreman will be her eyes and ears on the diagnostics department. Dr. Volakis worries that's one less slot for the applicants.
Dr. Chase is taking bets on which applicant will be dismissed next. Dr. Volakis puts $1,000 on Dr. Kutner, who puts $500 on her. But Volakis asks if Chase takes checks, which he doesn't.
The current patient is believed to be suffering from mirror syndrome, a psychological condition in which the patient, not knowing anything about himself, simply mimics someone in the room.
At the end of the episode, all the applicants at the beginning of the episode are still in the running. Foreman figures out that House is getting a cut from Chase's pool.
