Imagination Overdrive

Popol Saga Revised Edition Vol. 1 has come out, with Sierokarte dropping off one package for the crew's big fangirl of the series, Lunalu. While the "revised edition" is targeted towards newcomers, Lunalu is more interested with the opportunity of obtaining the original draft. With the conditions aligning well, the CtK4Life uses this opportunity to settle down and read the story.

After travelling for the past decade, Popol Castile returns to his homeland, only to find major signs that a war has happened. Believing that something has changed within his brother, Popol steps in to the ravaged land and makes things right.

Trope

  • Cut Short: An in-universe example. Popol Saga is supposed to end with ten volumes and a final showdown with Popol and Lopop, only for the tenth volume and its manuscript to be considered lost to history.
  • Dramatization: Popol Saga is based on the events surrounding the Castile Empire as the CtK4Life continuously cross-check the historical events. There's some elements that are changed or not brought up to fit the story better, such as the real Popol's Parental Abandonment issues clashing with his quest to find his father's killer.
  • He Knows Too Much: Lopop in the Popol Saga story kills Osanne due to the latter reading the letter that outs Lopop's mother as a commoner.
  • Parental Abandonment: The real Popol was mainly neglected by his father, which isn't reflected in Popol Saga as it would contradict Popol's actions on finding his father's killer.
  • Princeling Rivalry: Popol and Lopop are both sons to Emperor Polo in real life and Popol Saga, where things differ is the class statuses of their mothers.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Part of the reason the CtK4Life is reading Popol Saga is due to Lunalu's interest in the competition with the main prize being the story's original script. They only got a participation prize, which is a portrait of the actual Popol painted by an artist during his time.
  • Title Drop: Lunalu suggests going into "imagination overdrive" after seeing Melissabelle trying too hard to visualize the story and stating that some degrees of creativity should loosen up the stress.
