Examples:

  • All Jews Are Cheapskates: During the cutaway about "Huey Lewis and the Jews", as soon as Huey sings the "Don't need money" line from "The Power of Love", one of the Jews declares that the band is breaking up and they all walk out.
  • Companion Cube: Heather, Chris' "girlfriend".
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Peter counters the kid who lied about being at his lemonade stand for three hours with this:
Peter: You couldn't have been here for three hours on this, the hottest day of the year! Or the ice cubes in your [lemonade] pitcher would have melted!
  • Halfway Plot Switch: At first, the episode is about Peter starting a detective agency after Stewie's trike goes missing. When Peter discovers that a bunch of objects have gone missing and that Chris is responsible for them, the plot becomes about Chris' relationship with his "girlfriend", whom he built out of the objects he stole.
  • Heartbreak and Ice Cream: Chris gorges himself on Haagen Dazs after losing "Heather".
  • Overly Long Gag: Mario and Donkey Kong hide Pauline's body after accidentally murdering her.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Peter has no problems with physically attacking the kid who stole Stewie's tricycle.
