Captain Antonio Sandoval of the Royal Guard is retiring, and that means there'll be a new captain. He picks four candidates worthy of replacing him, one of them being Gabe, to his and Elena's delight. However, the other guards think that when Gabe makes captain, it'll only be because he's friends with Elena. On his way to deliver a package to the museum, Gabe finds that the package contains a sword, and he decides to "borrow" it to show that he's worthy of being captain. But apparently, the sword is cursed, and Gabe is possessed by the spirit of the general who owned it, El Guapo.
