Fraser and Vecchio crash land in the Canadian wilderness. With Fraser injured, the two race to catch a killer.

- Improbable Aiming Skills: The duo end up hunted by the gun-wielding killer right as they've built their raft, and Fraser accidentally knocks himself out, so Vecchio uses an improvised sling to cause a rockslide that the killer gets caught in. Vecchio even states how miraculous it was when Fraser wakes up.
- Improvised Sail: After accidentally launching an inflatable safety raft into the river without them in it, the duo decide to build a raft out of wooden logs in order to get to civilization.
- Inevitable Waterfall: The episode ends with the duo having caught the killer and rafting downstream to civilization, but just as they go off-camera, the final line is Fraser asking Vecchio "Is that a waterfall?"
- Informed Self-Diagnosis: After reaching a river, Fraser feels an odd twitch, and soon realizes he has a lower lumbar injury that requires Vecchio to readjust.
- One Dialogue, Two Conversations: While discussing whether to abandon each other so Vecchio can get the killer in time or to abandon the chase in order to get Fraser medical aid, both Fraser and Vecchio are visited by the spirits of their fathers, and end up arguing with them in earshot of each other and keep mixing up when they're actually talking to each other.
