- Even Evil Has Standards: After Sledkin wrestles with Tom over a detonator right next to one of her bombs, they accidentally drop it, causing the bomb to go off resulting in the dragon riders getting trapped. Sledkin is visibly horrified by this and exclaims that she didn't want this to happen. Though after believing them to be beyond rescue, she convinces herself that it was their own fault and runs away without telling anyone.
