This event provides examples of:
- The Dreaded: Aldred has become this to the Syndicate ever since the Doctor's death, tearing up bases left and right.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Has two in fact.
- At the very beginning of the event, Jake gives himself up for Syndicate experiments so that Farren can continue to provide hope. Sadly, This sacrifice result in him changing sides as well. Later subverted when Jake reveals he did that to betray Farren.
- Aldred performs one when he forces Jake and himself off a cliff to save Farren and the other prisoners.
- Sequel Episode: This is one to Scars of the Syndicate.
- The Unreveal: It's unknown who the other superior wyrmbound person is at the end of the story, and Grace knows who the Master is.
