Taichi "Tai" Kamiya is a young boy preparing for Summer Camp as his younger sister Kari goes to attend classes in Shibuya with their mother. As Tai talks to Koshiro "Izzy" Izumi, a young boy who lives in the same building who will also be attending the camp, a network failure occurs in Tokyo that disrupts the Tokyo Loop Line, which Tai's Sister and mother are on.
Ta and Izzy run to the Musashi-Kosugi Station to try and get to Shibuya to help out. However, the trains are down due to the disruption. Taichi leaps the barrier anyway to follow the tracks to Shibuya, finding himself in another world...
