After Osra and Ophelia share a foreboding dream and the rest of Passione finishes up their business around Elemix, the team takes on the Mendele Sister's challenge. Four sisters mean four challenges, all of which are puzzles of various kinds.
Tropes Found in This Episode:
- Shared Dream: Osra and Ophelia find themselves sharing the exact same bizarre dream. It's nighttime with a black, eclipsed moon up in the sky, and the two women find themselves standing before a wall of cold, purple flames. It doesn't take long for a silhouetted figure approaches them with a massive set of black, blood-spattered teeth. When the two reconvene, they conclude that the figure must've been the Black Fang, and Congiorno explains the significance of the black moon as a bad omen recognized across Grandure.
- Oh, Crap!: Ash recounts her vision of the factory turning Mindflayers into metallic warriors to Congiorno, who suffers a panic attack as he realizes what she's talking about. It turns out that factory was where the Black Fang had forced him to make Anvilwrought warriors; his sister had destroyed it shortly after he was freed, and by no means should it be up and running. The matter is so concerning to Congiorno that he decides to leave Elemix early the next day and return to Conjuria, where he intends to relay the news to Partrick.
- The Maze: The first of the Mendele sisters' challenges is Olla's, and it involves finding her in the center of a circular maze while contending with a shadow demon. The latter is alluded to in Olla's brief hint for the challenge:Olla: Be prepared. The walls have eyes.
- Set Piece Puzzle: After Olla's challenge is Alla's Participants must light up four light bulbs on each side of the room by tricking a robotic Majin into activating them with their electricity magic. Alla hints at the creature's role in solving the puzzle in her hint, but Cera finds another solution: together with her familiar, Dusty, she lights up two bulbs at the same time with some electric dragon's breath, speeding up the process while preventing the Majin from attacking.Alla: Mind your mark; wait for the spark.
