After Scudworth finally puts his plans for Cloney Island into motion, Candide plots to use a missile to wipe everyone out.
Tropes in this episode:
- Conjunction Interruption: When Butlertron finds out that Candide sent a missile to destroy the island, he attempts to warn Scudworth from his walkie-talkie, but Scudworth repeatedly tells him to shut up and to not say anything to him until he’s done passing out the churros. Soon, Butlertron confronts him directly to shut him up and tell him about the missile.
- Metaphorically True: Scudworth claimed that the clones would be working at Cloney Island for the summer, leaving out that it's going to be summer forever.
- People Zoo: Cloney Island turns out to be this, with each clone serving as a mascot for whatever attraction Scudworth saw fit to include. A more literal example is the Hot Historical Figures exhibit, where clones like JFK and Cleopatra are meant to stand around in skimpy clothes and look pretty.
- Slasher Smile: Candide shows a disturbing grin as she awaits the missile to hit Cloney Island.
- To Be Continued: The episode ends on a cliffhanger right when Abe and Joan are about to confess their feelings for each other as they are seconds away from annihilation.
- Villainous Rescue:
- Downplayed. Candide sees fit to warn Joan of the missile she indirectly launched at the school, advising her to steal Scudworth's submarine and escape. She lifts no more fingers to help and even laughs while telling Joan of the imminent danger.
- Upon learning of the missile, Scudworth immediately takes action to save the clones he had enslaved.
- Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: Subverted. Candide's pet lizard apparently asks why she not simply blow up Cloney Island while Scudworth and the students are on it, to which Candide replies that while doing so would be the easiest way to solve her problems, they still need the clones for the government project and Joan is her foster daughter. The lizard ends up activating the missile even after this is explained and Candide at that point stops pretending to have any scruples while enthusiastically embracing the plan to kill everyone.
