Tropes:
- Faux Affably Evil: Barem introduces himself as all cheery and a Chainsaw Man fan, but soon threatens to kill Asa if Denji doesn't become Chainsaw Man. And that's before what he does to Denji's pets.
- Kansas City Shuffle: The leaders of Chainsaw Man Church pull one. By letting Public Safety think the Church wants to attack a park full of children, they get surrounded by the Devil Hunters... at which point the transformed civilians attack Public Safety and ramp up the fear of Chainsaw Man.
- Uncertain Doom: Nayuta's as well as Meowy and their other pets' true fate is left uncertain by the end, as it cuts to Denji being captured.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Miri Sugo frames Barem burning down their home as necessary for stopping the Death Devil, which even Whip Woman calls him out for.
- Wham Episode: And how.
- Barem Bridge, one of Makima's flunkies during their fight with Pochita, returns as the leader of Chainsaw Man Church.
- The Justice Devil, with whom Yuko and the members in the Chainsaw Man Church made a deal with, is actually the Fire Devil, with the real one killed by Falling Devil.
- The Great King of Terror is revealed to be the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, the Death Devil.
- Barem burns down Denji and Nayuta's home, most likely killing Meowy and the dogs.
- Nayuta presumably sacrifices herself to let Denji escape, but in vain as he is soon recaptured by Public Safety.
